I have Tricky on gamecube thus wanting to get SSX 3 on GC, yet all the reviews seem the lean towards the PS2 for the controller in addition to the online capabilities.

Everyone is saying that the 4 shoulder buttons makes things easier, so heres my question

What do the shoulder buttons do? (obviously at least 2 are for grabs)

Anyway thats my stupid question

All 4 Ps2 buttons do a different grab type, and combos of any of the 4 pressed at the same time will also do a grab.

Unrelated info:

While playing, I noticed you can "cheat" the uber system by getting 3 ubers done on one jump, and then doing as many more as you can in another. This allows some of the level 1 ubers to count as level 2 ubers.

Yeah, I noticed that, but I like it really. Anyway to tweak the system like that works for me.

Oh no complaints about it from me! I like it too! However, what I really don't like right now is the punch getting thrown instead of my R2 uber trick. That has already ruined several race runs for me!

I was going to mention this too, but I wasn't sure if it was just me. I think EA should have just left L1 and R1 the punches and left the back buttons for grabs. Oh well, that's a side effect of the enhanced control system.

Another silly question

In tricky each character had there own trick book which needed to be completed

And also there was practice run which showed you how to do the tricks in each chapter, (controller pops up button highlight through the trick) is this feature in SSX 3?
