As I'm not a native speaker of English I don't know what a strat is by definition, but yeah, if you're pointing to the thing THL said about the two incidents where you get a 3x before the 5x I know what you're on about.

JACK, you got 40 SECONDS left on your 5.2 million run?? That should be enough time to get like 5.6 million.. But you and Rashid probably know this course better than I do.. But I think my calculations are accurate, we can pretty much agree on the 5.5 IF you really had 40 seconds left on your 5.2 run.

Also, have you tried SSX Tricky on the PS2, Jack? I happen to have both consoles and I must say I kinda like the graphics in the Gamecube version, but I´m not too adapted to the controller..

hey eddy, ive gotten sooo used to gamecube and the d-pad on the ps2 version is really precise so 80% of the time i end up getting the wrong flip

also, certain race strats dont work on ps2

That run might as well have been 4 million. It´s quite a good run with some new things in some places, so I´m considering to put that up on Youtube. Crazy to think that my score, although it is not bad and puts me in 2nd place, SEEMS really bad since well over 6 million is the record. It just underlines elgen´s superiority in this track, and what a masterful run he had.

Good news is that I find this track much more manageable than before. Something just clicked.

I will be very happy if I can crack 5 million clean SOME..time..in..the..future.. So that´s my long term goal.

Jack, if you have that 1.044 million Untracked run stored in your recorder, please put that up

almost flawless, lost a couple thousand points from 1 trick penalty and some stuff that was played safe

This run got the godlike final 5x grab on the rail

i feel like this category still needs more optimization

Okay, first off.

My reasoning for 5.7 million Alaska being possible:

We would have to cut 20 k from the current highscore, as #1 requires time which you wouldn´t have at the very end of the run.

1. This involves, as in the aforementioned post, backgrinding. You would have to backgrind at 3:12 in Jack´s 5.5 million video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dylUlIkO-WA), taking the 2X first, the backgrind to take the 3X.

Currently scoring: 60 k
Potential: 40 k + back grinding which nets 120 k = 160 k
Difference: 100 k

2. In my Alaska live video I did YEARS ago I did something I never came to think of again: At 3:16 in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLdnUMe_U5c) I fail to take the 2X. IF you do that, you can do a Walking the Dog through that 3X afterwards.

Currently scoring: 60 k
Potential: 40 k + 80 k= 120 k
Difference: 60 k

3. As Rashid Khan and I have mentioned several times before, you can get monster air on the 5X´s where you take on the 3X´s first.

Currently scoring: 190 k X 2= 380 k
Potential: 250 k X2= 500 k
Difference: 120 k

Before we start calculating, we need to know the score when Jack turns at the finish line to do some mistys to break 5.5 million. If this was 20 k we are left with 5.485 million.

Formula: current highscore + difference in #1, #2, and #3=
5485 k + 100 k + 60 k + 120 k= 5765 k= 5.765 million
