Well, i don't know whether this is another hint or not, but check this out: http://portal.burnoutweb.ea.com/page/news

That was posted just 2 days ago, from the Criterion news page.

Here's exactly what it says: 'Hey, it's DJ Atomika back to sea level in Paradise City from the sub-zero heights of Peak 3.'

Now, why would they refere to a 6 year old game, unless they were hinting a new SSX game? :woot

Should we get our hopes up? :rolleyes

Good find - but man, that's tough to say. They could very easily just be continuing his standard references to SSX 3 that they had in the demo.

Verdict: Inconclusive, but nice if you're optimistic. :)

I hope that is a sign of a new SSX because I love the games.

I'm trying to stay optimistic too.......... sigh........ I wouldn't put a lot of stock in to what DJ Atomica says though.... some Jr. Producer is just writting that script somewhere and is lost for stuff to say, so referencing other products in the EA universe is a safe and endless pit you can draw stuff from.

While I would love this to be a reference for a new project in the works, I doubt it. Its too vague. I look at it more as a shout out to the fans. I think SSX has gone the way of my other favorite sports roaming game, Jet Grind Radio. It still has a big fan base, but just being ignored...and no, I don't acknowledge the existence of On Tour, or Blur! Until my characters return with the same likness they had in SSX 3, the series is dead to me.
