How about team races?

Like a grand prix through all the courses where two sides are divided equally.

Once teams are decided, There must be votes on the next course, If votes are too equal then each team must choose a player to represent for a one on one down a deadly decent and whoever wins represents the decision. The same player cannot be picked twice.

Scoring will be based off of which team member is in which place, like 70 for diamond, 50 for platinum, 40 for gold, 25 for silver and 10 for bronze.

This will be complicated to set up honestly but I like where this was going I was thinking of the same thing and I have message EA SSX about this topic awhile back and they responded with "Thanks we will give it to our team" but nothing happen and this was back in Jan. But I also like the Idea of 3-2-1 events. We can all get into a radio group and talk and race.
