If there is one, are ya gonna get it?

I got ssx3's guide mainly for the art and stuff like that, the walkthroughs didn't really help nor did the snowflake maps, those were a waste, heh...but it did have some neat things in it...I also got it for the rider bios, those were neat. :)
Yay more pointless topics

There's a website, I really like to consider before I buy any guides, it's called www.gamefaq.com. I don't know, if you already heard of it ... ;P

I don't know, I usually don't see the point of getting the guides. I've got a few e.g Vice City, San Andreas etc but it always seems u get really excited when u first buy them, have a quick read for the first week or so, and then never look at them again.

Even with the map things, for example, hidden packages etc on GTA, you can never really seem to find all the items even with the guide. Plus you tend you find most things out as you play the game anyway, so is it really worth buying the guide?

gamefaqs doesn't supply art...and if you read my post, you would have seen that i don't care about the guide for walkthroughs or whatever, i like it more for bios and art and stuff like that....:lol :poke :lol

people are so bitchy lately. :lol :lol

i'd just rather learn stuff myself or from posts on here or gamefaqs than read it in a book that isn't gonna be right anyways. I never got a guide book for SSX3 and i don't plan on getting one for SSX4 because even if i got it for the artwork, i still don't have a scanner to share the artwork.

the bios that I wrote up for the KB are the ones from ssx3's guide book.

No, Prima can't help me beat a world record, and that's the point of the game for me.

yeah, thats pretty much the main point for me. From what I understand of the guide put out for SSX3, it wasn't that great. Besides, there is a certain satisfaction that comes with finding this stuff all on your own. :)

Any guide that comes out before the game is released is going to be dwarfed compared to any guide that is written by the collective community of gamers. :yes

The thing that pissed me off about the guide is that there were maps, and I was happy about that, but you couldn't see shit becuase they were plagued with huge baloon dots that showed you where the snowflakes were (like that even helped...). And then, they fucking put like 8 pages about the music in the game and shit about the crappy bands on the soundtrack. I wouldn't want to pay $15 for a book about how "inspiring and great" the soundtrack was.

Prima fucked up...big time. They routinely do anyway, so the SSX3 guide wasn't too much of a big deal.

Usually I buy guides for the art and visuals.

Yea, because you just absolutely can't get the same art and even better quality from online.

Well sometimes you can't, and sometimes you don't get the same close-ups that you need. Plus it's easier just to get a book out and open up to the page you want rather than turn your comp on, wait a few minutes, get on the web and start browsing around for who knows how long trying to find the picture you want.
