They're pampered cats and have their own cottage on the hillside, forcing me into the cave only to visit them at feeding times

Up to my teen years, I had a rabbit (named Sweetness, to boot), lizards, turtles, a hamster, a guinea pig, fish...I think that's it.

We currently have no pets. We had a beta (fish), which lived for almost 3 years, then died naturally two years ago. Before that, we had a hamster for a few years, until it escaped from its cage (faulty cage design), dropped into a furnace vent, and was recovered (bones and fur) during an annual furnace cleaning. Poor thing. I love hamsters. We told the kids that it escaped and was living freely and happily with the wild rabbits. Two years later, the kids told us that they realized the hamster had in fact been roasted.

Chinchillas are cool if you dont mind a mess...they're my wive's though, normally I have a Remington 870 12 guage shotguh devoted to rodents and critters.
