The analogy is poor.

... Like the rest of the world apparently.

Bullies aren't necessarily dumb as much as nerds aren't necessarily smart.

Intelligence is a multi-faceted thing.

The analogy is simplistic.

For a country that reluctantly joined the 2 world wars America seems trigger happy in the post Soviet power vacuum.

In my opinion, America does indeed have brains. We have had some of the greatest minds live here. Although that was in the past there are still brilliant people in this country. Of course people think that America stole power from other countries. We won it fare and square. And we fought fair (not including bombing). But America always has strategy. That is why we gain, not steal, our power. Everyone else's plan is to just drop a huge bomb on us and hope it works for their sake. We make sure our plans are fool-proof and well thought out before taking action (not including Bush, but that's a whole different story). And if many minds are in agreement to the action, then we go through with it. Other countries have the power to take us down. Why haven't they? Because you need brains to put things into full affect. Just like America has done on several occasions.

Please, please have mercy on her.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 7:52 pm

this is a fucking free country and I pay to live in it...

yeah... right... and especially when we have dumbasses like Bush running our country right now...

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:02 pm

The thing is, is that the people of America are very smart (not including those who voted for Bush). But however smart the people are, it just seems like you constitution has almost changed. I mean how many people wanted this war? It was Bush's idea to start this fiasco. Not America's. Most people in our very own country say we are dumb. But isn't it really our higher educated congressmen that are the dumb ones? I mean anymore it seems like they make the decisions, not the people. And good point Riku. But again, it wasn't the people's decision to make us pay to live here now was it? In my opinion, the PEOPLE of America are smart. But I also think that America is losing the reason that it was made. Freedom.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:11 pm

beh, i think taxes were made in america just so those lousy pricks *i.e. Bush, congressmen that don't know their ass from a hot rock, and other non-smart people who have a lot of power* could get money... I mean seriously, don't get me wrong here, but how many rich people here do you see trying to make a change for america? Paris is too busy buying shit for herself to make up for the time she spent in jail; Brittany... fuck that selfish, fat bitch; Bush is trying to make war, not end it...

While I was in the hospital, I actually realized something. A lot of the people that people hate for being 'rich, stuck-up assholes' aren't really THAT bad. I mean, Dennis Quaid, Frankie Muniz and Adam Sandler actually made a guest apeparance at the hospital I was at for their little charity thing that they were doing. It's people like them that actually have to be running this country (I SAID LIKE, NOT THEM PERSONALLY!)

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:17 pm

Riku you are absolutely right. It shouldn't be rich people or people that have their daddy's pay their way into college because they can't make it in their selves (Bush) run the country. It should be down to earth people that know what the people of America want and don't want. Then maybe we wouldn't have all of the skepticism.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:23 pm

What do you think pays for the thousands of services the government provides? Who do you think pays the police?

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:26 pm

the poor people cos somehow or other, shitty rich people seem to get away with not paying their bills :-|

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:30 pm

Mess, if you're just arguing for the heck of it cause you don't know how you feel about the situation agian, just stay out of it. Me and Riku are right, it's our government's fault that we're this way. Not America's. :frusty

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:48 pm

I'm not arguing for the heck of it. Taxes are as old as civilization, and they are necessary.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:50 pm

no they aren't are you forgetting your history? People traveled here from england so they'd get AWAY from all the taxation and religious crap

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:54 pm

EXACTLY! Boston tea party people! You think people just wanted a lot of tea so they dumped it into a crap load of water to make the most? WRONG!

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:55 pm

Hokay. First of all, taxes had nothing to do with it. Second of all, the pilgrims wanted religious freedom for themselves, no one else. So we best not look to what they wanted for the model of our country.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:55 pm

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRENSENTATION!!!

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:59 pm

This all conclude that America doesn't make dumb decisions. Federals do! :frusty

So no matter who is running it, America has brains.

And there is loads of proof!

SO DEAL WITH IT!

Sat Jul 07, 2007 8:59 pm

YOU ARE REPRESENTED!

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:01 pm

BY IDIOTS THAT GIVE THE PEOPLE A BAD NAME!

obviously you missed the whole just of what I said... and I reject your representation... cos you're just wrong on so many things right now... I have a lot of other things I'd like to say, but I'd rather keep them in a jar

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:03 pm

If you think "free country" means free of taxes then you are a moron. There, I said it.

And if you don't like your representation, vote for someone else next time.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:09 pm

Well if you run, I definitely won't be voting for you fucktard :dork :rolleyes

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:14 pm

Ha ha! Don't you just love bing proven wrong? And remember, I'm Blonde, still in gradeschool, and I'm still smarter than you!

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:16 pm

o rly... still in gradeschool, wow... I'm a sophomore in highschool... and I'm sure MESS is older than me though doesn't study politics or history :rolleyes

Sat Jul 07, 2007 9:18 pm
