Hey guys, i've tried frequently to embed some YT videos here, and for some reason it keeps posting the wrong video on the forum. I have the correct link, and when i preview it at first shows up as the correct video, but then quickly changes to a different one i've uploaded. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'll bet it has to do with it being in a playlist.

To get the video not in the playlist form just take the video title and search youtube for it, then copy that url. There might be an easier way though, idk.

I bet it has to do with Youtube's constantly changing URLs when it comes to videos. The bbcode parser probably picks up the wrong set of letters in the URL and embeds the wrong video.

The best way to be sure that you embed the video you want is to cut off your youtube link between the v= and the first &.

Take this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfCHhXtf5RY&list=UUsYMG9tiKcKiBcxKqgsXrKg&index=6&feature=plcp

Shorten it to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfCHhXtf5RY

That will guarantee the parser picks up the right URL.

It's the playlist thing, your URL says it right there: "&list". Useful if you have a bunch of videos to share but don't want to create a huge post with tons of embedded content.
