As bloody amazing as SSX Tricky is, I hate to say it but it has gotten kinda boring. I've been thinking of news ways of playing competitively but I've decided it would only be fun and make sense if others joined in. What if we did lots of different challenges? You may have tried to get a gold medal in Showoff for the Elysium Alps, but have you tried it with a BX board or Alpine board? Have you ever tried to see who can get the most knockdowns consecutivley within 5 seconds of eachother? Or tried to finish a race with the least points possible? I hope you catch my drift. Post your thoughts below!

Some suggestions:

- Playing SSX 1 style in showoff mode, meaning no ubers.

- 3 million in Garibaldi, with another character than Marty. Or with all the characters in the game :woot I think it can be done, even with Luther and Brodi..

But these goals would be up to the `top` players to do. I can´t think of anything else off the top of my head.

Nah, Eddy, keep in mind this is just to enjoy the game more. Sure, it could be a competetive category if ya like, but this kinda thing is for everyone.

Now, to start making a list...

-Highest amount of points scored on Showoff with an Alpine character.
-Highest amount of points scored on Showoff with an BX character.
-Lowest time taken to finish a course on Race with the least points.
-Most consecutive knockdowns within 5 seconds of eachother.
-Most consecutive knockdowns within 10 seconds of eachother.
-Most consecutive knockdowns within 15 seconds of eachother.
-Worlds highest bonk.
-Most points scored in Showoff in SSX (2000). No. How is that even new?

Keep posting your suggestions and eventually upload your successes (and fails) to YouTube for us to see!

Well, yeah, of course we could just compete with ourselves :) I just imagined it quickly evolving into a competetive scene- which I don't think is necessarily the best outcome. But people can of course do what they want :)

I see what you mean, and that's understandable.

Also, for some reason, Alpine boards on Showoff sounds Über fun to me!

About the first point doing it SSX 1 style, it's nothing new, I know that. But AFAIK, no one ever put in much effort to push the limits within this category.

BTW: my highscore with Brodi on Garibaldi is 2.1 million atm.

Uberboard. The great thing is that Brodi has this really short ubertrick that's like a hip thrust, don't remember its name though.

My PR with Brodi on Garibaldi is 2.45 million now.

I have 2.89 on garibaldi with elise, pretty interesting challenge I'd say.

I have an idea for a long format live category called "olympics" which is playing each level (garibaldi through untracked) in 3 runs. If you restart that counts as a run, same thing for a time out. then we compare scores, its kinda like an improv idea. If you know if you can complete the run or not you should try to keep going and make up a new route as you go.

For example in MCM if you miss the rail jumps at the beginning just continue down whatever path you are zoned to and make up a new route. Each olyimpics is held during a period of time determined by popular vote (i.e. 2 weeks) In which all runners register (just posting in a forum) which you have to video tape yourself live doing it

And we can hold them whenever. Intersting to see the improv
