I was playing in the GE and got the diamond bracket on JT2. I was kinda amazed to see the fastest rider had a time of 1:07...

Come on, this can't be possible right? I'm putting in another request for a video that can show me how this is done. I've seen videos of people getting under 1:30 and my own best is 1:34. This run was 27 seconds faster.... I'd say "no way without cheating" but I've been wrong before

Haven't heard of any 'cheats' here, and I browse this forum quite a bit. Try getting to diamond and watching the line.

Also $50 says it was a wingsuit run. Actually, I take that back, I'll bet my life savings on it.

Wasn't this recorded before those invisible walls were placed? What he is doing at 14 and 44 seconds isn't possible anymore I think... Will try it out later. Awesome run anyways and thanks for the post I_AM_MINE

Keko is a beast with the wingsuit... I know, that he manages to get past an invisible wall at old school so it's possible that he manages the same here if the walls exist. He wrote something about that you need to be fast enough to get past.

They've put up those walls cause people were taking unintended routes... Now only the best can take those routes... That's even worse then it was before

First thing, I'm sure you can do it too! I have the walls too but there is a technic to pass them ! go really fast and have non-empty lift bar!
I'm not the only one to do that (look at pyteur34 ghost in the video) We built this record together, finding thoose shorcuts with the time. I passed more than 10 hours doing this way and for this record 2H in a row The most technikly part is at 32" in the video! the wall is awfull it is very tricky but with practice we can do it without loosing speed

I think this is the problem. The best player should have the best time, but it should not be such a big difference between best and a bit worse. One part of the riding should not make such a big difference (i.e. >10s)

First place I look whenever I'm in awe of a seemingly crazy time is the master run section here, safe bet that in most cases it has the video I'm looking for.

The whole idea of those walls was to make sure nobody could take those routes. People were complaining about cheating with wingsuits (not me) so they put up the walls. Now it's getting clear there are still a few holes in them. Not saying I'm not impressed by those times and finding those routes but this does get me complaining about those walls.
The walls haven't become useless... They have become a way to get times that 99% of the other players just can't get by flying after your ghost to see where youre going. Not being able to follow you through a wall means at least a 30 second longer run.
I still don't think these records will be broken if they erase the walls, but it does give us a chance to see how fast we would be down those lines.

that's only 8 seconds faster... for me with walls: 1:34
I don't think I will get under 1:10 without the walls but after trying Alaska for 2 hours I know I can't get through them as well... I'm not skilled enough, I guess ... there, I said it

SMH. That's says volumes about something, probably the wingsuit, being that it is a snowboarding game.

It's not a snowboarding game. If you've ever been snowboarding you'd know that. It's a bunch of games rolled into one. "Super snowboarding cross", a hybrid game. Wingsuiting is part of the game.

Yes! I play with the wingsuit! I suck at tricks and I'm not so good at non wingsuit races beacause I always train with one
Some people have more fun without the wingsuit, I don't, and I think the goal of playing is to have fun right?

Definately.

Maybe a future option is to have a bit more things to choose from. Different runs for non-wingsuit and wingsuit races, trick runs with and without time limits, survival with and without time limits.
Then again, having 6 different things to get records for might be overdoing it.

That's not as bad as the time I found a 00:16 seconds in the diamond bracket of wrecking crew.
