As far as I know, nobody's run into this one yet.

1) I visited Ani7v yesterday, she's had GE bugs pop up this last week (WYWA broken, GE payout problems even while online).

2) I did two GEs and the money added to the bank while I remained online. I thought maybe that aspect is working again.

3) Played the Serenity GE. Note the bank balance of 21,999,495:



4) Stayed online as it ended, winnings were added to bank, taking bank to just over 22,000,000. But lifetime earnings didn't increase. (I didn't take a pic at this point because there seemed no point).

5) After moving through the menus a bit trying to trigger a lifetime earnings update, I went back to the dashboard and started the game again thinking that might do the trick. Well, lifetime earnings still didn't increase, but more importantly the WINNINGS WERE GONE FROM THE BANK. It was back to 21,999,495:

SOLUTION:
If WYWA is broken, leave the console on to collect your winnings, and ensure you enter another event to trigger a save before turning off the console.

After some testing I found it is indeed because when a GE pays out while you're in the front menu, the new bank balance is not saved locally until you enter another event and trigger a save. Normally in this situation, WYWA pops up and gives you the winnings again when you restart the game.


Also, my frustrations with GE problems have only kept me away for a week, I'm back at it again.

I have not had that particular issue happen, but I do understand your frustration due to other GE bugs which have been infuriating yesterday and today. I could only play the game for about 45 minutes yesterday due to 7 disconnect from EA server incidents, most of which happened right in the middle of my drop (a couple of which I was kicking ass ) which literally kills and takes you out of your run so the servers can reconnect After number 7 I said FUCK this and shut off the game for the night as it was just killing any type of flow I was getting.

Today started out the same way, so I went out and deleted 2 friends that are not active with the game anymore from the looks of it and I have not had a disconnect since Yesterday and today are the first times I have experienced this issue so it must be another bug from adding to many friends. I have about 10 friend requests that I have not accepted due to fear of the bugs coming back, but have been adding 1 per day to see how it goes. Apparently, I found the limit and am not going to be adding anymore friends unfortunately.

Hope they can get all these bugs sorted out since I am just eating this game up otherwise and STILL cant get enough. It is interesting though how these bugs can really just kill the experience though.

I've had some weird stuff happen with badges being taken away after they've popped but not earnings being taken away after the event has finished. That's pretty bizarre. I have found that deleting some of my friends has helped a bit in my ridernet performance and have yet to get disconnected from ridernet as a direct result of ridernet flaking out. I am on PS3 mind you.

Bildi, first off I am very sorry you are so frustrated.

And I know how you feel b/c I share many of the same issues as you.

Did you see the recent thread where someone apparently discovered their GE/Ridernet issues were tied to info not coming through their router?

I'm not passing the buck here, but with most issues we can debug the problem quite quickly but that has not been the case with what you and I have been experiencing. It is possible the problem doesnot originate on our end.

I am going to get my ISP to hook me up with a new and better router to see if that fixes it for me as well.

Thanks for your post Todd, I know you're probably way more frustrated than I am, not only having similar GE issues but being on the other end of it too. I'm guessing inconsistent issues are incredibly frustrating and difficult to troubleshoot.

I really struggle with networking, but I did try creating a DMZ for my Xbox after seeing that thread, but no luck. I have an unused wired-only modem in the house, I might try setting that up directly to the Xbox.

Ani7v's issues just started just a week or two ago so I'm guessing for her issues it's not her end (I have to mention also she only has one friend, me, so decreasing her friend list is not really an option ). It's more her issue than mine that got me a bit frustrated.

Let us know if you have any luck with the new router. I just need a short break, I'm not giving up. Thanks again for your post.

How many SSX friends do you have?

I was down to 48 if I remember right but it didn't help with issues on my console. I've been accepting a few friends requests since then and have maybe 55 I'd guess. Haven't seen things get worse yet, just the same.

I'm glad your disconnection issues seem to be better though.

I have somewhere between 70-80 SSX friends which is pretty much (besides 2 non SSX friends) my entire list. Not sure how many of them are still active with the game.
