I have been trying to personally draw in some blueprints of the courses for me the find the best line and direction to go to for Race It. I am using a pretty old school way of doing this, paper and pencil. I think overall it has helped me out pretty well, even though I have only done two tracks (long horn, Lock Jaw).

I think it would be a cool set up to have for every track to help everyone gain a top view perspective of how to proceed through a track.

Does anyone have any computer skills that possible know a easy way of handing making a blue print on the computer??

Does anyone want to help possibly with taking on responsibility of taking a few tracks to try out?

All I have done is just take 2 or 3 runs and continuously rewind and rewind and rewind through the track to get a broad look at the track and then maybe throw in some more details as to my personal favorite routes as I get more used to the track.

Any feedback would help as I am obviously no where in a large area of coverage or knowledge.

If the goal is the best line, Space Marine has a wonderful YouTube channel.

Not just about that, but getting the whole overview of possible paths you can take throughout the course and choose accordingly to your preference. The top racers can hang on to his line, but I doubt a lot of mediocre racers can. Also, on tracks like Long Horn where there are so many options, this could help better visualize possible ways to get through it with minimal problems

Wow, yeah I'm very interested in this. I didn't really see a good way of going about it though, since tracks are so much more vertical than before.
If only the 3D models were saved by the devs... That would be such a fun thing to play around with.

it would be really helpful on tracks with more then one seperate path you can take like sentinel or for the split in broken elbow. there was another one that i can't remember the name of that i discovered had a totally sepereate side i didn't know about until a couple of days ago.

also tracks with multiple interlinked paths like the african tunnels and to figure out where some of the alskan pipelines start.

Vengeance? If it isn't, I recommend checking it out anyway. On the second jump just go to the left. It's a much more relaxing ride.

What I have been doing is slowly with pencil marking it up with a piece of paper, if anyone has a more efficient and clean technique that would be huge. I am planning on only doing this for the tracks that actually need it like what was said in the last few posts. Let me know if anyone wants to get into trying out some tracks. Thanks, great input.

Yeah but some of spacemarines videos are outdated cause some are the prepatch from the invisible wall, can't do some of his runs anymore.

I would love to see full 3D renders of the mountains. Many tracks are pretty massive and you can always some small undiscovered areas laying about. :D

doesnt matter his times are still beatable even if he used that old path. trust me I would know. Also if you play the track long enough you get a feel of what way is faster and what is not. thats how I get anyway.

I remember they released 3D renders for tracks in Tricky or SSX3 (I can't remember which). They were really interesting.

Didn't find any for Tricky but here are the SSX 3 and SSX 1 maps.
