I have to post here to stick up for SSX3, it is easily my favorite of the series thus far. :yes
And while I really, really like Tricky, SSX3 is just my favorite game of all time, with the original SSX coming in a close second.
I posted this a while back in the SSX4 suggestions thread, I hope that SSX4 includes all the race and slopestyle tracks of SSX3 reworked a la Tricky, as well as a bunch of new ones too. That to me seems alot like the best of both worlds, having some all new, never before seen tracks, as well as some familiar ones reworked to be even crazier.
SSSooo, SSX4 : Tricky 2, sounds like a good idea to me. :)

I wouldn't mind them just making it a 2 peak game with one disc for each peak. If it means a boatload of extra content, I'll dig it.

Blu-ray technology. 25 GB per side of a DVD disc. So EA could have what, 36 different peaks? :heh :heh :heh

Any comments on the idea I posted above? Anybody else that likes that idea? :poke

the ps2 laser can't, it would need a blue laser to, but the ps3 will be able to, or at least that is the plan from what I have read...... it makes sense too, because the console companies would be shooting themselves in the foot if they could have increased CPU and GPU processors w/out increasing the size of their data mediums....

EDIT-----> and no, the PSX doesn't have this equipped, it is not designed so much as a gaming machine as an all in one high end electronic device.....

This means that we'll ahve to w8 until PS3 is released before we can play SSX4... An dit's scheduled for 2006!

I hope they make a double DVD SSX3 Tricky or something in between...

Man, I don't know if I'd want 40 peaks. I think that it would be like the Dark Cloud games at some points- too long, too much of the same all the time.

On topic, I wish that the cheat characters in SSX3 had voices. It takes a lot out of the experience. Would it have taken that memory for EA to put them in as entirely new characters and not just skins? :(

put ssx 3's ubers and combo into tricky, take out the glitches and there you have it... the perfect ssx game. Sorry, but ssx3 has gone back on the shelf for the moment cos the fun just isn't there, plus there are those 3 annoying, creativity sapping words... the smurphy trick :(
viva tricky!

Ive got to say that SSX 3 is my favorite. Each game does have bits I enjoy though.

I will need to go back and play tricky now just to make sure i'm right. :cheers

I have SSX Tricky on Xbox and I still play it now!

The Monster tricks ruined the point system, now that everyone does those and that you couldn't do as well with a Montezuma 1260 Walking The Dog... :(

To tell you the truth, Tricky isn't my top favorite game, but it smashes SSX 3 oh so easily, that is, wants you get pass all the used and badly cleaned stuff, but it is one of my favorites!

It is kind of sad though that you can't really tick one person off in SSX 3, say Moby, and they'll want to finish their score with you at some point. I loved that in SSX Tricky's races! With Psymon, first race and Elise is about ready to call me an enemy! The thrills in the future! But hopefully that will come back in a good form for SSX 5, it was so fun.

Also, I couldn't have bouth Tricky at a better time. On Tour, getting use to SSX, tis' my very first SSX game that I played hardcore. 3, I improved, not master, but it helped me (also, it inspired me to start a fanfiction, a reason to get SSX Tricky and maybe SSX.) But Tricky was like Legend of Zelda: Master Quest to me, doing a backfllip was just obnoxious at first, let alone UBER tricks! But in the end, I think it is fun just playing it for everyone, listening to their quotes.

Quote:
"Behold, the delicious delicacy of the giant ice cube."
~Psymon
