Wow... what a letdown. Minimal retina support (seriously, if you're gonna do half, why not the other half?) layout and general design that looks like it was both conceived and completed within 5 minutes... and it crashed within 60 seconds of me opening it. The information would be useful to have, provided I could get to it, but EA obviously rushed the hell out of this app.

Oh, and it's not compatible with older generations of iPod/iPhone. I seriously doubt there's anything in here which requires the new tech since it's pretty much just a list of text, so not adding support for those must be down to either laziness or incompetence.

Correction, it's a terrible free app that doesn't do what it's supposed to. There are hundreds of quality free apps out there, so that shouldn't be a factor. I'd rather pay anyway if it meant getting something stable and enjoyable to use.

Is there a droid version of the app?

I'm on a something-gen ipod touch and my global event standings are showing, but I think/hope it might be dropping a digit off of big predicted payouts. I'm in the two Serenity events and it's saying for platinums, the payout will be 58,091 and 55,383. I don't remember the exact value the game was showing this afternoon, but do know it was over 500,000 for each. Hope the app is wrong, cause I just spent almost all my credits on a 1.7 mil lvl 10 legendary rocket board for Elise...

I'll probably just stick to the PS3, I'm not on much anyways and I only compete in the drops that cost 500K+ anyways, and I wouldn't want the app messing that up.

I can't even log in. Says my info is wrong and I'm 100% sure it's right.

It's pretty basic but it's ok. The buttons are not very good quality. It basically just shows your rider net wall, global events and friends. you can send friends messages which is pretty cool as that is what batty was doing on the ign livestream. I wish you could see high scores for each drop though so hopefully they will add it. Proper iPad support would also be nice.

Overall though I'm glad we actually have an app as a lot of people thought we were not going to get one at all.

Wouldn't mind an android app. But I prefer turning in my PS3, starting up the game and...

"While you were away..." Screen popping up, so it's a meh from me. Something as detailed as the battlefield battlelog would be awesome in app form.

+1 to like all of these. i'm pretty disappointed. was expecting to be able to browse drops/my high scores, and all the badges.

hopefully they update the website soon and it's more detailed than the app. i need something to pass the time at work besides my one friend texting me each time he sets a record or scores some $$ in a global event.

Looks fine to me. I dont really need a fancy layout to tell me basic info.

Well, I don't "need" it, but if I were releasing an app to go along with a well-received game, I'd at least spend the extra 30 minutes making it look somewhat professional if I wanted it to be taken seriously. It doesn't have to be fancy anyway, it can be simple, clean and attractive. Then I'd tell whoever coded it to make sure it doesn't crash and that ALL iPhone/iPod owners can install it rather than 40% of them.

I'm messing around with it now.. looks pretty straight forward.. you can message friends, and view your global events and wall all in one spot. Also, you're wall goes all the way back to day 1, at this point at least..

Update: so you can view the GEs you are involved in, and see what your place is currently, along with the leaders of each bracket. but that's about it. You can't browse other GEs or look up your fastest times for certain tracks or stuff like that.

It's mostly going to be cool, to be able to converse with other players.. not sure how things will show up in the game though.. if we have a wall of chat? or it's one off with no message history..

Custom Global Events that are mentioned, don't show you which run it is.. it just says "on custom global event" which is kinda nerve wracking if you are involved in more than one, you can't tell which one it's referencing.
