played tricky at a friends house where we were .. 12-13 and not too soon after bought SSX3.. which i still play everynow and then.
enjoyed OnTour but not as much.

been eagerly waiting for a new SSX since i got my PS3 in 2007 (been a while but its finally here)

Watching my cousins use eddie and watching eddie do the worm on tricky had me auto hooked. Ever since then i played all the SSX games but blur and i loved them all. SSX is the games of my childhood without a doubt

By the way I'm 35, and though my memory is kinda foggy I can remember Split screen was quite the adventure way back then. We always used to get right hammerd as we were playing the ssx games, I honestly don't even know how we saw the screen at times,

I'm 16! SSX Tricky for the Xbox is the first video game I remember ever playing! Lots of good memories with Elise and Eddie! My whole family has always loved the SSX series, though I am the only one who actually plays it obsessively. I've also played SSX 3 and SSX On Tour, and now I'm loving the most recent game!

...well i started playing SSX when i was 3 (and i really sucked) and i had lots of fun playing with my brother

so he owned ssx and tricky so i didnt get 2 play much

i was 6 and got SSX 3 wit a special blue controler (ooooo ahhhhh) i messed it up the first day i got it (im so stupid)
when i was 6 i got ssx on tour for psp (boy i was sure was mad at it)
sooooo its been a few years later and i got another copy of SSX 3
when i was 10 i got on tour for ps2 i loved it

so now im 12 and got SSX blur for my b-day it was cool but it got boring

sooooo now its 2012 and im waiting for my 13th b-day so i can get the new SSX (fml) soooo yeah........

I'm 24. I remember playing SSX3 on my xbox. No idea what age I would have been, how new the game was when I got it.

I'm 29 and I've been playing since the original SSX at the PS2 launch. I've played every SSX game since then with Tricky being my favorite. I believe SSX 3 was the one that introduced online play and I loved that game as well. I remember thinking it was the coolest thing in the world being able to play SSX online, haha. I couldn't really get into Blur though because of the Wii controller. And I was never big into On Tour either so it feels like the wait has been forever since the last SSX game that I really loved. I think this one delivers for the most part though. I hope it sells like crazy and that we'll be talking about the sequel here in the future.

Used to play Tricky at my friend's place. Years after that when I got more into gaming myself I always remembered some snowboard game with some crazy bar at one side of the screen, which caused me to get SSX3 on my gamecube. Playing SSX3 pretty much became my occupation after that, SSX3 got me hooked to anything snowboard related actually. Played On Tour and Blur a lot as well and will now play the new SSX till the disc breaks.

I'm 20. My next door neighbor had Tricky and played it all the time, I'd occasionally get to try it but never all that much. Back then I was much more into the Tony Hawk games, played and loved all of them from THPS1 to THUG2. Saw a new SSX was coming out and realized I'm sick and tired of combat games and a return to arcade extreme sports would be awesome!

Given that background I though I'd enjoy Trick it! events the most but I'm really digging the rush of races. Must be that old 2-Xtreme yearning I have.

Started with SSX Tricky when the son of a family friend showed it to me. So I just had to buy the original SSX. Fixated on SSX3 and loved it. Disappointed with SSX On Tour, and then had my entire collection (plus TV, Playstation, Computer) stolen. Been eagerly awaiting a PS3 version of SSX anything, but again disappointed that it's only On Tour that they ported to PS3.

Now in the throes of emigrating, so the PS3 is packed away, so a frustrating wait before SSX can be fully appreciated!

I'm 34. A friend and I rented SSX for his PS2 - we were always pass-the-controller gamers who would try to one-up each others scores and times. I bought a Gamecube a bit later so Tricky was the first SSX I owned.

We now live in different towns but get together every few months - he's on PS3 and I'm on 360 so we'll have to do some more pass-the-controller SSX'ing.

I first played ssx3 when I was 7 , an I've loved ssx ever since.

Im 16 and my first SSX was on tour, i remember getting it at woolworths ,lol, and have been waiting for the new SSX for about 5 years!

I'm 12, and my dad introduced me to the original SSX back when I was about 5. Then from there when my sister broke the disk I got SSX3, and I would play from the second I got home from Kindergarten. When we got On Tour for Christmas when I was 6 my dad and I would play split screen all the time, the full peak run.

I'm 17 and my first SSX game was SSX Tricky. My friend introduced it to me when we were about 10 or 11. We would play it every time I was over at his house, but eventually I became so good at it that he "lost his interest" in playing it

So I bought the game myself and got SSX 3 when it came out, too. I didn't get On Tour because it didn't appeal to me, but I'm LOVING this one

Tricky was my first SSX, absolutely loved the game at the time, competing against friends and family. Second to only the Crash games in terms of memorable much loved video games growing up.

Though I didn't get into SSX3 in quite the same way, I still remember really enjoying it. And I don't think I even bought On Tour.

First time poster; been lurking for a month waiting for the game to come out.

43 years old, and not really a gamer. I've bought probably 5 games total for my PS3, but got hooked on SSX3 and knew I'd have to upgrade. First game I've bought a game in a year or 2.

Never tried the online stuff with games (although I do corporate SEO for a living, so I'm not so old not to understand da interwebs) but will give it a shot with SSX. Feel free to add me; usernames the same. OldManPwn; did it for the irony.

28. Got ssx with my PS2 on launch day all those years ago. Played Tricky with the misses during our first year at uni 10 years ago obsessively, to the extent we had copies on Gamecube and PS2, the former being my birthday present to her (and myself, I wanted my PS2 back....).

I didn't like SSX3 nearly as much as Tricky. On Tour was great fun, but I felt it 'cheated' when calculating AI progress on alt routes on race, which meant I could never quite summon the enthusiasm to finish it off.

I'm 44

I started playing ssx on the PS2 as it was about the only good game when it launched, I was really waiting for mgs2. However always had a soft spot for ssx, split screen racing was ace, loved Tricky but the 30min + ride down the mountain in SSX3 will always be my favourite. I did buy the next one but it felt to serious if I remember rightly. Then moved on to fps for the most part.

Just like being back in the good ol days again...

im loving this mix of ages. got old timers like myself and kids as young as 12. SSX is just awesome fun no matter how old or young you are~

I'm 18 myself, and I first saw SSX3 when I was around 15. I just went over to a friends house and he showed me it. Then I beat him at it and he never wanted to play it again.
I got it myself about a year ago, and I just finished maxing out all my characters. Damn that's a good game...

We got that game too, but somehow missed out on SSX Tricky. After a while we got SSX3 in 2003 I think which is where my online name originated that started to lead a life of it's own. My brother got SSX on tour 3 years later but I absolutely despised that game and I'm so glad SSX for PS3 didn't go down that road.

21, I played the demo to the original ssx so many times. It's one of my best memories of SSX, but I never got the chance to pick it up the full game. I played a lot of Tricky, I have a replay on my PS2 memory card of a great run I had on snowdream. I joined up Merqurycity in December 2003, but before that I used to hang in the gamefaqs SSX forums.
