Don't know why, but the graphics seemed a bit dull in this vid.
Also, it was clearly targeting the snowboarder crowd. Tricks weren't crazy
at all, but the terrain definitely was. I loved those rock and crevasse tracks. d

TRice was actually pretty good in this vid; I didn't mind him at all!

It was an ok vid, didn't blow me away or anything. Didn't help TR was in it but whatever.

Seriously though, the vid was ok, but it really didn't show much. The terrain was sweet but you didn't get to see enough of it. I want to see that in gameplay footage. I'm tired of rendered stuff.

If they advertise this on huge snowboarding fansites, ones who would presumably know Travis, it would be really awesome. People dislike him, I'll admit I was fine with it until Travis started making the game sound like it was all about him a little, but he'll help bring in a new crowd.

I guess after looking at the VGA preview on GTTV where they interviewed Travis and in the X-play video, he definitely didn't say anything like that, maybe I just recall that's when people said they disliked him in the game the most.

But yeah, I wish they would have showed cooler tricks instead of just grabs, but it makes sense if they're marketing to the real boarders community.

Well, they were trying to catch the vibe of surviving, I doubt you'll be doing tricks with a avalanche going 300km/h behind you.

Well, you probably are in SSX, but that's beside the point. Putting in big tricks would just distract from the feeling this video is trying to bring, which is trying to survive certain death.

Maybe you need to trick to survive. If tricking still equals boost and boost still equals speed then you just might have to bust out some tricks while trying to outrun an avalanche.

That was mentioned in that one interview you posted the other day. You'll need boost in the descents as well, so tricks will always be a factor in how you do.

Still it's good they didn't show that in this vid. Just imagine seeing Travis talking about how serious those situations are and than you see gameplay of him tricking like crazy with a avalanche behind. That would've been a very bad trailer, no matter how close it is to the actual game.

Has anyone else noticed that Travis rice never seems to say anything about SSX? I mean it seems like every video they post of him shows him talking about real life snowboarding and they just plaster video of the game running in the background. He really never seems to say anything about a video game at all. I don't really understand how this helps sell the game to snowboarders or anyone else for that matter.

P.S. I don't have no issue with him being in the game, he seems to do some real cool ssx style stuff snowboarding in real life
