I read about crispncrunchy's struggle with being addicted to drugs, and his attempt to "get clean." I commend you on this noble gesture, and encourage you never to give up. Here is a song by Corey Hart, called "Never Surrender," which I dedicate to you for your dedication to staying drug-free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocnrPLKbkD0.

well if we were talking face to face, you wouldn't be saying Hi Crispy every time you responded.

I can't stop laughing because I imagine 2 people talking and one saying "Hi" with loads of enthusiasm.
:heh :heh :heh
Imagine this:
"How you doin'?"
"Hi! OK!"
"wuu2"
"Hi! nothing!"

Crispy: As an Aussie I knew you'd bring up Vegimite, that's actually been banned longer than marmite.

Ok so QP: I honestly can't say I enjoyed your links, I apologies but i'm not a big classical fan on it's own although I realize those guys have amazing vocal talents. There are certain exceptions to this, the first is musicals. A lot of classically trained singers do partake in musicals, my favourite is Cats followed closely by Wicked then Legally Blonde and a host of others including Les Miserable, Jersey Boys, Phantom of the Opera etc.

The second exception is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9LFP5QkwJ0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L_phbxEiZs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdEBIazXELU

I understand if you're horrified at it.

The third exception is this singer, who despite being a complete Diva has in my opinion a beautidul voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaWPduHl_j8

Onto American Idol, I cannot say I have dealings with it at all, I do adore Kelly Clarkson, who won the first series aside from her there has been no one who benefited from the program. However next year you yanks are going to have to put up with even more utter vomit by the name of Simon Cowell and his shitty X Factor. This douche is single handedly ruining the music industry with his useless crappy voting system and his crappy one hit wonder winners. I would never intentionally wish Death upon anybody, there are two exceptions to this, Simon Cowel and Diego Maradonna.

Hi Kubi and NA:

Kubi, "I use 'Hi' and 'Take care, everyone' as terms of endearment." Remember, I come from a scholastic setting, one in which individuals address each other in quite formal terms. If I took the terms described above out of my conversation, I would sound awfully blunt and rude.

NA, your song selections are great!

By the way, I had the privilege of watching Les Miserables in New York in 1999. It was performed on Broadway, and the play was incredible!

Take care, everyone.

ok so QP, I didn't mean to offend you in any way. Though I can't restrain myself from saying that instead of you saying "Hi! Nothing," you would say something like this:

At this particular point in time, I am not exactly doing nor I am planning to do anything quite interesting apart from the thing I'm doing now (ie. talking to you).

Hi Kubi:

I've got a great 1980's song for you, which is performed by a band named Ratt. It is called "Round and Round." Just type "Ratt Round and Round" in on the YT search bar, and it should come up.

Take care.

Good one Kubi, but that's far too short a sentence for QP.

At this particular point in time (i.e. at the time that I am writing this sentence or making this pronouncement, as the case may be), I am not exactly doing, nor am I planning to do anything in the near-term future (i.e. the next few hours or days, depending on the situation) that might be considered "interesting" to anyone else but myself, apart from the thing I'm doing now (ie. talking to you about nothing at all and fine-tuning my ability to be more than 90% redundant in everything I say, as can be deduced by this statement in which I have attempted to increase my redundancy level to 99%).

Hi RE Virus:

The paragraph above sounds redundant. My paragraphs never sound that jumbled--I take a single idea, and elaborate upon it. I should be commended for my superb writing style.

Guys leave him alone :heh

I for one an pleased we have someone here with such a supreme sense of vocabulary and grammer, I learn new words and it makes up for a certain someones lack of respect for the English language and use of spelling.

Agreed. QP you have a quirky style, it is your own. You don't need to change if you don't agree with criticism. Your enthusiasm for SSX is undeniable and you have a right to post here.

Oh by the way NA it is grammar not grammer :lol

Momentary lapse of reason there :heh that and a shitty tabular touch screen keyboard.

QP you're welcome, I love your posts and use of language I think it's lovely and unique.

Hi crispncrunchy and NA:

I agree with both of you. Everyone has positive qualities which makes them unique.

People also have different tastes in art and music, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Whether or not someone likes Rembrambt or Picasso is contingent on if the person is looking for a realistic painting, or artwork that carries a metaphorical meaning. If one values realism in paintings, then he or she will probably hold Rembrambt's works in high regard. Alternatively, if one construes art as a visual form of figurative expression, then he or she will likely pick Picasso as his or her favorite artist.

One can same the thing about music. Who is to say that Duran Duran isn't better than The Rolling Stones? This depends on personal tastes, which are deeply subjective.
