People only choose a religion for social reasons. There is no reason to choose one over another logically, but rather because of social pressures and your family.

That took me way too long to figure out.....

On that note, I am joining the Church of Obama! :dork

Religion is a weird word.

The adverb "religiously" has nothing to do with spirituality, but with repeated scheduled use of something or action of some sort. IE I take my medication religiously. Weird semantics behind that word. Is religion simply routine?

Probably. A bit like Autism and routines. Like you have to do certain things at certain times....almost religiously (speaking from experience)

Religion, when used properly, returns one's mind to the infinite. Of course, that was forgotten for a very long time, but it is being rediscovered. There is a natural and correct approach to the problem of religious urges.

As above, so below.

I think you have misunderstood the concept of intertubes.
As long as i remember, the tubes aren't a place for discussing religion for some simple reasons:
1.The tubes are filled with morons.
2.The cursade between christdouchebags and atheists is like N+1 for amusment and should never be taken serious, why? See no.1
3.Human biggotry
4.Any other religions don't give a crap about each other.

also having such a discussing is like a fight between two cirppled trannies in a sandbox.
durr durr durr

Lemme hear a namaste to that...

Religion nowadays is the biggest stokers of the ego, imagine the desire of eternal salvation that the idea of being 'saved' by Jesus only projects the mind further and further into the future when really, it is all found in the Now.

Personally I'm a bit of an atheist but I probably say that because I'm really agnostic, because I am fairly skeptic about the whole God-loves-us-all and some of God's rules seem to contradict one another.

If I don't know what religion I am, what chance does anyone else have of knowing?

Lutheran Whoo!! Martin Luther WHOO!!! lol

I was baptised (sp?) Lutheran and never really was religious until a couple of years ago and i researched Lutheran for a good 6 months and I'm sticking with it. I'm all lutheran-ized haha I'm like a Lutheran dictionary lol

And i just wanted to say that whatever you believe in, at you believe and have faith in something, no moatter what it is. I hear all the time you'll be happier to have faith in something. I see what they mean too.

I believe in life in outer space, not necessarily in extraterrestrials, but who knows, maybe once I will believe in them cuz that'll be blowing up our planet ^^
