So you didn't watch the video because you didn't know what one word means, and you didn't have enough will to copy and paste the word into Google or Wikipedia? Seriously?

whoo sorry im late, jus got done watching, thanks for the link, I always wondered what a day's worth of economics 101 lectures would sound like with scary music in the background. Now excuse me while I 1) go sell all my possessions (besides my computer, lest I give up our precious savior, The Internet!), 2) burn all the money I get for them (leaving all those sheep with the permanent debt), and 2) shiver in my backyard while I watch capitali$m crumble into pieces.

1) Don't sell anything. Give it away.
2) Don't burn anything, lest you contribute to Global Warming. You wanna save the planet, right?
2) Don't shiver in your backyard. Your room is fine.

On a serious note, capitalism won't crumble, only transform. Now you need to watch the economic Crash Course... if you can handle it.

dude, are you kidding me? Zeitgeist?

that "documentary" is a bunch of bullshit. I can't believe I watched it...

I'm pretty sure if an evil cabal of capitalists were trying to take over the world, they would have done it already.

damn conspiracy theorists...

the only good part was the George Carlin monologue at the beginning... atheism ftw!

i'm sure I'm going to regret this but:
RE Virus, you shouldn't be mad at people because they have an opinion.

And I'm not saying he's right, so don't be mad at me either :heh

Edit: I haven't had the time to watch it yet, but I'll sure do in summer vacation.

Keep in mind that it is not the mere presence of opinion that usually upsets people.

It is the lack of thought and consideration in the formulation of said opinion.

True. But you should pity those people and persuade them, instead of spitting in their face.

oh trust me, I've put PLENTY of thought into my opinion on Zeitgeist.
and that thought has lead me to conclude that Zeitgeist is nothing more than conspiracy theory... I can't believe people actually believe every single word that movie says. it takes genuine debates and issues and twists them way out of proportion.

I can't believe there are so many people still out there that still think the government has our best interests in mind, and that incompetency is their worst sin.

It'll be fine either way, though. This cabal is on its way out, having already rendered themselves obsolete. We're in for a bumpy ride for the next couple of years when the deck of cards finally caves in and the truth starts to reveal itself. But things are going to get amazingly better after that.

Do you want to go to space?

ok, take the critcism of the Bush Administration.

many people, including me, do not like what happened during the 8 years of Bush.
but suggesting that he and his administration actually caused the deaths of 2,000+ people to justifty two wars?
yes, he did indeed use 9/11 as a scapegoat to justify the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
but suggesting he caused 9/11 to happen is just insane. that's ridiculous, and tarnishes the criticism of the Bush administration by making all critics of the former Bush administration look like wacko conspiracy theorists.

or take the issue of globalization. people are certainly concerned about the effects of globalization. but suggesting an evil cabal of rich bankers are trying to take over the world through globalization? do you not see the ridiculousness of that argument? it once again tarnishes legitimate concerns and makes them sound like conspiracy theories.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter what you think about the 1st two parts of the movie. What you need to pay most attention to is the third part.

What you have to realize is, it's not an evil cabal in the sense that they are doing something they shouldn't be able to do as conspirators. It's just capitalism. Bankers are just doing what they're good at. It's just bankers putting bottom lines before everything and everyone. What's so hard to believe about that? Competitive accumulation forces banks to do shit like this. It's not so much banks are greedy. They're just trying to stay afloat. Greed is such an overused word.

I mean look at the IMF and the World Bank, look how much of a killing they made giving loans and enforcing structural adjustment programs on third world countries. What is exempts the US from this same dynamic?

(It's been a while since I saw the first movie, so please correct me if I misrepresent anything)

Haha, c'mon Titan why not absorb all this knowledge and become a new special " being". Then again you can just sit back, smoke some weed and enjoy the life you have. Almost seems like there's a new religion in the making...
