Hey I don't hate Apples, they're cool things. I've just never got around to buying one. Which is a pity because many artist friend need and want my tech support skills. Maybe some day :rolleyes :)

I found the Mac mini a very affordable way to start. And honestly, I find it runs a lot better than my G4 at work! I have a lot of problems with Adobe CS3 on that thing, but the mini handles it great.

from what I understand, adobe products after the CS3 are a bit unstable on macs... :( which seems a bit silly, when you think about it.

I am very tempted to get a mac mini, the specs have gotten alot more interesting since it first came out and the price has remained low, although I can't decide btwn the mini and one of their macbooks....they are both pretty inexpensive options.

lol, i am still using the same version of photoshop I got back in 2003....and i still only use 10% of it lol.

what i meant by pretty is rather inexpensive for an apple product. as in pretty inexpensive.....more than a little, less than alot.

Yeah but macs also look mighty fine. :)

And from what Krystony was saying about CS3 it's more to do with:

1. Intel processor (always better than RISC)
2. Newer version of Mac OS :pimp

I'm sorry, but i think that you a lying there.
Nobody, EVER bought a copy of photochop. That is a fact proven by the internets.
You cannot question anything said on the internet. THAT is a RULE.

also what's up with the new CS(or whatever's new?) heard it crashes alot and eats memo like XP back in ye ol' days.

ha ha programs that'll run on computers from the future...JUST LIKE CRYSIS!
