If you're going by like Episode 1 - 6, then mine would be 5 - Empire Strikes Back. If you're going by the order they were released, then it would 2 ...the Empire Strikes Back. :heh

:notmyfather :D

you really don't need to keep posting about you posting...

Anyways...*tosses up flame shield*...i didn't care for the original one and never saw any of the others....the only reason I saw the first one in the first place for a film class, hmm, i forget the class topic, i think it was something about defining movie genres and such. It wasn't a bad movie, I think moreso just not my type of movie. :shrug

ESB (Empire Strikes Back) is my choice. Lots of action on Battle Of Hoth (the AT-AT's are just sick great), and a superior lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader in the Cloud City on Bespin. "I am your father" makes me shudder every time I hear it. The story is just great, I can't describe how much I love this film. It's my number one film. Absolutely.

Otherwise AOTC (Attack Of The Clones) is also one of my favorite movies. Even if it's not my favorite Star Wars movie, it would end up on place 2th. ;P

Probably return of the Jedi though I thought attack of the clones was pretty good and the guy who played qui gon jin
is one of my favourite actors especially when he plays the whole silent good guy master type figure, (Batman begins schindlers list etc) So his role was pretty influential

Wow, I didnt know the empire strikes back was so popular. I thought I was gonna be the only one to vote for it.

I love the snow fight on hoth, the asteroid belt bit and the ending is also very neat. A new hope is closely behind and the return of the jedi is even closer behind that. It's a good movie but I find the bit on Yavin a bit tiring now that I've seen it so many times.

The new trilogy is rubbish that shouldnt deserve the name star wars.

:no oh no sweetie.. you haven't been gone for a while until you wonder where all the vets of gravitude went.. and you're wondering why you left in the first place...

I must say though, one original and off the wall smilie serves a purpose!
:notmyfather

I personally liked episodes 2 and 3, with all of the original trilogy movies not far behind.. its been a while since i've seen 4-6 so i might just have to go out and buy all 6 and have a starwars legacy night... these are the most epic movies i can claim to love through and through (unlike LOTR, 'cause I like one--ROTK)

For me it has to be the original. I can remeber seeing it the cinema when I was a young lad and it just totally blew away what people expected of a movie at that time. Its was kinda like the way the Matrix stepped up special effects with Bullet time. The very opening scene with the HUGE imperial destroyer roaring out of the screen....pure class

**off topic slightly but funny none the less**

Borrowed from http://www.bright.net/~beeryde/laugh/

Top Ten Reasons Why Star Wars Characters Would Kick Butt in the Star Trek Universe
10. In the Star Wars universe, weapons rarely, if ever, are set on "stun."
9. The Enterprise needs a huge engine room with an anti-matter unit and a crew of twenty just to go into warp--the Millenium Falcon does the same thing with R2-D2 and a Wookie.
8. After resisting the Imperial torture droid and Darth Vader, Princess Leia still looked fresh and desirable--after pithy Cardassian starvation torture, Picard looked like hell.
7. One word: lightsabers.
6. Darth Vader could choke the entire Borg Collective with one glance.
5. The Death Star doesn't care if a world is Class M or not.
4. Luke Skywalker not obsessed with sleeping with every alien he encounters.
3. Jabba the Hutt would eat Harry Mudd for trying to cut in on his action.
2. The Federation would have to attempt to liberate any ship named Slave I.
1. Picard pilots Enterprise through asteroid belt at one-quarter impulse power. Han Solo floors it.

Lol, i know it`s an old topic but my fav would have been 6 for the main story... But the fight scenes and amazing graphics would go to 1 (battle with Darth Maul) and 3. Use to be surch a nerd for that saga when ever i was younger. :P

A film series that I, personally, could never get into.

Definitelt dosn't help when you went out with someone who was mega-obsessed with it ¬¬ that was freaky
