Just got my letter in today listing some of the changes they made. The really bad news is the replays for SSX3 are still going to be near worthless as they did not have time to add in the score display. This means we still cannot verify scores and times via the replay. :cry

It was mentioned that they would keep this in mind for SSX4. I can only stress again that this is a VERY important feature and should be of prime importance to include in future SSX games.

Man, that does suck, but it's pretty much par for the course. Since none of the other games had it, I'm not that surprised it didn't make it in. Can't wait to get my letter though :heh

Man, I feel kinda bad now for complaining about the HUD since they had to change it and that's the reason they couldn't get the replays done. Do'h.

EA made that decision Krispy, not you. All we did was give them the list, they made the decision about what to prioritize over what.

Yes I agree FBX, a pitty EA decided not to include this. Very nice to see you making "such a deal" of something (scoring) that's not your own specialty! :) :china

I guess most people will feel like that. But this feature is especially important for showing/ verifying "record runs". It is very nice & helpful to see where a player "gets the points". Currently you have to use a (regular/ digital) VCR for hours-and-hours on end, just recording anything that might turn out to be a record. If the score was included in the replay, you'd only have to save the replay after the run.

Of course, but I meant somebody else's achievements in a movie, captured from a live screen or a replay. This can be both highly entertaining and educational to watch - and help you enjoy playing the game more.

If you need help getting those tears to flow, let me know and I'll be happy to get you there.

Seriously though, this is important for quite a lot of people. Saves on a lot of hassle for both Gondee and I to get master runs going a lot more efficiently. I just hope SSX4 will have this feature as a priority.

That is bad, but maybe we can figure out a way to keep scores and times somehow.

Bummer :cry

There really is only two areas of improvement I would have liked to see in the game. The other one is a ghost rider. Any news on that?

I don't think there will be a ghost rider either. When we have all fully explored SSX3, I'm sure we can give them a good list of feature improvements and additions to make the next game even better! The difference now is that we can get these requests in a lot sooner. To be honest, I think we may have been a little too late on our trip to Canada for the things we were suggesting they add, but I feel we can be really helpful to them for part 4 .

After SSX3 is released, I'm going to start a new subject area where we can all post improvement suggestions for the next version of SSX. Lame ideas will be tossed, and we'll compile all the really good ones for EA in advance. The result should be a sequal so fine-tuned to what the public wants, the reviewers will be hard-pressed to find faults in the game. SSX3 was a big start in the right direction, while SSX4 should be a pro-gamers wet dream!

:pimp

That's good to hear, i'm sure i will put in my two cents about the game. Feedback is so important! I own a small business and trust me on this, feed back is basically imperative. I'm sure EA will be more than happy(or at least they should be) to get a fine tuned list from you, that includes suggestions from all kinds of hardcore SSX fans(we come in all shapes and sizes). I hope your wrong about your suggestions being a little too late for SSX3, i guess u will find out soon enough!I got my fingers crossed for u. If none of them make it in this time, then hey, live and learn, and we'll help make SSX4 even better than 3.

Hopefully EA incorporated most of the SSX 3 weekenders other suggestions into the game and this was just an exception. *shrugs*

Still, it would have been nice to have the score and time displayed in the replay. As Ettepet pointed out, it would have saved on the hassle of trying to record every run live for score/time verification.

Oh well, Firebrand's idea of a "suggestion thread" here is excellent. The developers obviously pay close attention to Merqury City and would hopefully see these ideas way in advance to possibly implementing them into SSX 4.
