Then it's not the OS. I used MovieMaker 2 to capture and encode.

When someone beats one of my record times, I'll post the respective run (they're about 12 megs each). Sure, I'll let my secrets out of the bag, but that's fine with me. I need a few days to try to get back the record though :) I picked up a capture card recently and I'm having way too much fun with it. I was thinking about making an "outtakes" video with all the wipeouts in my run that caused me to restart. It might be interesting...

Great to hear BadBrad. Yeah, you can have a lot of fun capturing stuff with enough free space on your HD. What card is it? If it is cheap maybe some more here would consider buying it. :)

awesome, badbrad you got a capture card, thats awesome. now i can finally see some of your sweet runs. specifically snowjam. Im worried that once i watch your snowjam run it won't tell me anything new and that ill just have to fine tune it down to your time. Right now my best (offline) is 2:16, i dont see how to shave off 4 seconds. well im looking forward to any videos youre willing to make with much anticipation.

Hey, I just thought of something, It's true that the NTSC version of the game runs faster than the PAL version right? if that's the case regarding race times then it'll be a little harder for us PAL players to match the NTSC times as your versions run naturally faster than ours right?

I'm not saying this is much, but my best time on snow jam is 2:22 and that's follow FBX's line exactly, even taking a few of the rails at the begininng of the course. I still can't seem to match it though.

You think this whole slower version theory's true? :poke

EDIT: D'oh, Whargoul, you beat me to it. whatever. :thumbsup

no, its not. the two versions are exactly the same. so a score you get on a PAL would be exactly the same on NTSC. nice try but sorry. so your 2:22 would be the same on NTSC. also in the video, thats not FBX's line. thats just a platinum line.

It's a decent one, a Pinnacle AV/DV. One downside is that when you use analog capture (AV), you have to use their capture software (you can't capture with Premiere, for example). If you have a digital out (firewire), then you can use any software, I believe.

My Uncle has a capture card. I was going to ask to use it for my Happiness runs.

It would in your case - if you want to submit your scores, use the scoreboard form and in the "comments"box, just put ""view online scores" and include a link to your online page.

You should seriously try for high offline scores, Smurphy. I bet you could upend PD in the pipe area for top score if you put some time in.

I would love to see some new master runs. Anything on a course not posted already would be great.

Actually I think Much2Much is one of the easiest freestyle courses to get plat on. That and the pipes.

R&B isn't too hard either, as long as you hit 2 of the 3 10x and don't break your combo until the end.
