Great run Mad Jo3! I know that wasn't easy. I guess that jump to the next rail in the beginning must save a little time :| I got a high 2:01 this morning doing the exact same thing as my run posted earlier but with getting hit in the beginning and coming off the long rail in the middle a little sooner. Maybe a mid 2:01 might be doable, with that beginning jump. I would like to find a way to break the 2:00 mark on that course(clean). Would be sick.

I tried that jump at the beginning once, and it really saves some time.

If you get hit by the AI at the beginning and do my shortcut jump from rail to rail you really save about a full second.
That means 1:31 is totally possible ;) . (which is something I'll never ever try)

Just perfect, that SJ run. In my frame-by-frame analysis I had come up with a 1:55.98 as the best possible time using the standard line (your run was just that, 1:55.96).

Nice approach to the WH, and I liked the crashing fall too, but strangely it was only 25-50 ms faster than my 1:56.5 run.

I've found a new line, believe it or not, that I haven't quite figured out yet (it's much harder), but it could be up to a second faster (no 1:54 though, I doubt that very much). I'll post a vid soon.

Nice Metro runs too, not much less impressive.

Rastapo, I said to igloo that I would never attempt 1:55 because at the time I had been playing Snowjam for about a month straight trying to get to 1:56. Keep in mind that at that time the only real video footage anyone has seen near that was of I believe Alpmaster's 1:59. Well not too long after I released a 1:58 and then from there on out went through hell to get to the current WR which was unofficially Elevation's 1:56 haha (i'll never give it up!)

Needless to say, this is one of the tracks that are fun but extremely tough to nail everything without messing up. Metro City is too because of the inconsistancy of the selects on top of hitting everything on point makes the difficulty ridiculous. This is why I love these games though. None other puts you through this kind of mind-fuck.

Re, I didn't mean to crash into that tree at the wh but it didn't affect anything so I kept going. I actually have a video of a 1:56.00 where I did the same exact thing. I swear I nearly cried as I crossed the line and it turned. It was really hard to keep going after that. But I could land the wh almost on a consistant basis... just the pressure of landing everything perfect, while having one eye on the clock at all times, kept making me crash at the dumbest places. I probably landed around 30 1:56's, breaking through is a whole 'nother level.

When you mentioned going for 1:55, I figured you probably found something new. Would be cool to see it... but hopefully it's not tempting enough to give another try :heh

Incredible run Ice I remember you sworn to never play sj again lol. Btw I think It was blkdth who put up a 1:59 or 1:57 video that had people attempting snow jam more not alp. I might be mistaken but I don't think alp's ever posted any ssx3 vids.

Hahahah! That was awesome in it's epic glitchiness! This is what those peak races are for - see how low you can make it! If you want to put all 3 peak races online and get them as low as physically possible using every glitch imaginable, go ahead - I'd love to host them on the Master Runs.

Oh I did back in the day when I was "good" considering the times/scores. I believe I posted a 2:01 and blackdth the 1:59 IIRC.

Nonetheless, very impressive runs by RE and Ice, nothing short of amazing.

Can't see an issue with this if it's useful.

Interesting stuff. Awesome P2 run, even with being glitched to all hell. :heh Can't believe I didn't notice that Peak Station glitch. I mean when I was trying to find a way to finish in R&B from the mid-section in the Peak 1 Race, I went through the mid-station there numerous times never to realize the time difference.

That SJ shortcut looks like it wouldn't help much because you couldn't get the suber uber and from that video looks like you'll reach the windy rail around 29 secs which is about a sec slower :| Might mess with it some when I get time.

The little free time i'm having i've been working with Intimidator. I was never satisfied with my 1:55 run and i'm pushing for a 1:53-low1:54 right now. Could go as low as 1:52... Just absolutely hate that big jump-select towards the beginning. I probably hit it right 1 out of 20 tries. :frusty

Don't mind the time in that video; I was only trying that when I didn't get the AI boost, hence why I had no boost to do ubers with. You can probably get superuber during that massive fall.

:lol Don't know how I forgot about that. Anyway cool find! Does look hard to pull off. It's funny to actually see a little activity lately. Now all we need is Igloo, Chaos, Obi and some the others to see if they can push some things a little more. I'm sure everyone has some records they weren't completely happy with. Rastapo, NOB, and Mad Jo3 are showing that they as well can be a force. I have limited time to play games but it's still fun to get that anxious/nervous feeling in my stomach when i'm on a perfect run.

Maybe it's just severe boredom waiting on a new game. Wishing SOT didn't flop so much with competition as it had potential.

I wouldn't mind playing again, specially now that I can just play on the PC with no need to bring the PS2 out whenever I want to play it, but my times are good, not top-level. I don't really believe I can reach your records or go beyond them. I had a "clean" All Peak Race time which was very good (2nd behind elevation, using the then allowed Gravitude and SJ wormholes) which I always felt I could improve a lot, but then people started using WHs left and right and I just didn't feel compelled to try to improve it. I also had a good Throne race time (huh, what was it, 2:09? ._.) but then again, wormholes just ruined all the fun.

Well, after writing this post, maybe I will indeed fire the game up. I kinda miss racing to cut off times. Even if I don't improve my personal bests I think I'll just have some fun seeing what can I do.

Crap! I just realized that my Peak 2 run is 1:43, not 1:47. Damn that countdown timer! I see the 7 when crossing the finish line and don't pay attention to the actual finish time.

^ Not a perfect run but real good. You can actually select out before the final jump (before the poles) and it can save atleast half a sec. But the timing and where you select at can be either good or bad. It's just hard to finish a run hitting that big jump select right as well as landing the wh in the same run... so i'm semi-satisfied.
