Tutorials indeed! I mean WTF's up with that Kick Doubt run of yours? I mean, breaking combo's, BRUTALY beating the $#!+ outta Elise, what the hell's wrong with you??? I would've thought you were MUCH better than that! Almost makes me feel more masterful than you! (Even though I'm not)

ok, since that obviously isn't fbx's best path i'm now left curious which alternate routes he ignored intentionally and which he ignored for simply not wanting to give all of his secrets away. :wink

I sorry gondee, guess I was a LITTLE harsh on ya. Kick Doubt IS a hard course to ride on, and in fact, your score is far better than what I can do (I believe 300K was my best on it) So good job to you! :dj

I can't get FBX's vid to work as I can't unzip files and such. :(

I like that FBX, nice compact files! Goes with the racing I suppose.. :D

All those people staying endlessly in the air, doing tricks, dreaming of being planes or something.. :wink It all amounts to BIG files!! :devil :no :devil

ps: Maybe FBX can improve a bit, avoiding trees and other difficult to compress imagery. :yes

Sounds good, ssx4ever, just let me know when you have it done and we'll do the regular routine. Thanks!

You were serious about shalacking me about my Kick Doubt score? You do understand that if I was a little less calm-headed I might have gotten mad about that? :??? If you're joking about stuff like that, please put a smily face or something in your posts, it's hard to tell whether someone is serious about that kind of thing from just typed words. :china

My ultra slow 56k modem just finished downloading the Snow Jam one. Very nice FBX :)

Chill gondee, I think Gamingnerd realized the error of his ways and already made an apology.

I know, I thought he was joking at first, don't worry Gamingnerd. It just surprised me that you were actually serious - I make no attempt to be some sort of showoff hotshot - it took me six hours of cussing and hard work to get that score, heheh. Just remember that I can get the wrong impression as much as the next guy so PM me your harsh words or make sure I know you're joking. :) I don't want to jump to conclusions, especially as mod, so make sure I know what your meaning is before you yell at me for something. (And PM me if you're gonna yell, that's a much better idea.) :china

one of the most important things on kick doubt is that last 10x multiplier. Just go off the left most jump on that last big jump and hold and uber for very long and add in some inverted flips, off axis spins, and stalls and you got yourself ~420k right there, then getting 300k on the rest of the course is easy for gold.

Nope, and I probably won't. And of course I crashed, I suck at Slopestyle :heh, it wasn't a Master Run, just a video to help others that I thought I'd post in the Master Runs instead of buried in the Kick Doubt thread. I will probably never get platinum on that track anytime soon - not big on slopestyle as I'm sure everyone knows, heheh. :)

FINALLY!

Got my Snow Jam platinum... 2:21.

I didn't run it exactly the same way FBX did, but I realized from watching his run I learned a couple of things I was doing less-than-optimally and that was enough to get it done.

Thanks!

Oh Gondee, my 2:20 vid was intended to be a tutorial. Nothing anywhere near masterful, especially since I avoided my best lines and knocked the run out in a few tries.

yeah, I've still been running 2:24 and fbx's video unfortunately didn't show me any lines i didn't already know :heh

but it did give me incentive to start working on my time in that course again :gameboy

FBX is really the best racer i've ever seen (i just see your mugshoot). Ten days after the game is for sale, your scores are awasome :eek :eek

I just watched the Snow Jam video, and all I can say is WOW!!!

Nice job FBX!!! I hope to be able to do that myself.

In general, I like racing better than doing tricks but I do fall into the trap of trying to pull off too many tricks during a race.

Once again, nice job.
