So when you do a MT, then a 180, the game adds the bonus for doing a monster trick in the air, regardless whether it has been done before. With that being said, if you do a smurphy MT, then the same MT without smurphy, you WILL lose half of your score.

Why does it put it in the air? The score system adds the next trick as a late, which a late is like landing and doing that trick.
