Not when I still have so much to ask.

Like for starters, are there still any survivors here?

Well, the forums have mostly moved online to Discord, but I'm still around keeping them spam free and stuff.

The discord link is on the front page. Do you need it? :)

Oh... Nice to see you around though :) but I always felt that these forums are nostalgic and thus find it hard to move on. I guess I'll give Discord a try.

Since you're here. What do you think of the games Steep and Snow, both of them have this SSX vibe on them.

I think they're good in that they are carrying the spirit of SSX forward. But they aren't arcade racers, and that's what I miss the most. No game has captured that as well as SSX.

I totally agree with you; it's just that anything vaguely resembling SSX would make me jump right in to it, you get what I'm saying? XD

Anyways, gondee, I want to know how you felt when you heard that there was going to be a new SSX (2012) after such a long hiatus of the franchise?

And finally, is the discord community worth joining in your opinion? Just wondering, not making fun or thinking lightly of them...

I'd buy any SSX that came out and the system it was on if I didn't have it, of course. I did it when SSX Blur came out on the Wii - never would have bought a Wii otherwise.

SSX 2012 was a mixture of pure happiness because SSX was back, and disbelief at how bad it looked after the first trailer. :lol

The discord is good, yes. Make sure you hit up the one with the mountain for the logo - that's the main one. It's run by a few Merqury City members and is where the SSX community has migrated to. :)

Gondee, according to you, what's the ranking of SSX games? And who's your favourite character?

Not sure why there's so much dislike for SSX, I love the new graphics, characters, and gameplay. But then again I've never played it and only watched videos of it so I may be biased.

Well, my next stop is discord then, make sure I get a proper welcome from you gondee XD just kidding.

I don't think Merq will die. I do hope for a new game then this place will come alive again. It still gets 20 to 40 lurkers on every day when Ive checked and the art forums viewing numbers are always going up so who knows what the future holds for the site..... unless your Gondee :)

I concur to what Yeti said. It's been a while since I last been in this forum. I have been too busy going to school and working, much like everyone else who have been here since the forum's beginning. Though, I like to check up on the site every once and then, and I'm glad to have been a part of merqury.

Rest assured, this site won't die. And discord is a great way to talk to everyone. I'm glad seeing Gondee, Yeti, and the rest of the people are still kickin it after all these years.

Rest assured we're out here waiting for SSX to return! In the meantime I just look at it as a retro game community. It's only a year ago that I fired up SSX3 on dolphin and ran though all the events, completely blown away.

If I'm still out here playing FF6 There's no reason my children wouldn't do the same with SSX even if there's no new game made.

Also seeing this forum online, semi-active and yet completely unchanged from my teens gives me some kind of hope that things can still be permanent in this day and age. Thanks Gondee for keeping it up for all these years. :china
