Went to the opening of a student art show that I had a piece in last night, which happened to be in my favorite museum, in my favorite building: the carousel building. We got rides for free!

Having a very Language Arts weekend. Took the AP Lang and Comp exam yesterday, which I felt surprisingly good about, then saw The Great Gatsby tonight. Once I got past the flashy effects and licensed soundtrack, I felt like they nailed it. They put a lot of emphasis on the themes and motifs; although they went overboard sometimes *coughgreenlightcough*, it was better to have them beaten to death than to not have them at all. I wholeheartedly recommend it, even if just for the tea at Nick's and hotel scenes.
