Hmm, you could've just turned a tiny bit more once or twice, or even slowed down for just a split-second. But you're only two seconds away, you could probably take them off somehow...

Keep working at it : ) I just beat your time with Zoe (if not by .14 seconds :) ), and I'm the showoff guy, so you can do better than me. I do a 360 at the beginning for boost, do a double-flip off the first jump, then ride over the big ramp and boost down the center lane, then I slow down and turn just right so I ride down that big wall, and boost down it. Then I grind the middle pipe and then take the right pipe in the center lane. I boost all the way down them until I get to the end, then I ride up diagonally over the hump (so as not to get air) and then boost towards the first pipe on the right. I turn sideways for balance, and boost straight forward. After two gaps, I then jump off the pipe just in time to cross the finish line.

Is this your line?

edit: crap, you did beat me :lol

oh yeah, i think ill be able to get into the 1:07 range, just got a 1:08:03

on the first jump (b4 the big one) i do a double front flip unethical experimental, then, on the big jump (not jumping tho) i do a front flip unethical experimental, then i boost down the center lane, then diagnolly down the first wall, like blackdth said, boost some more to the three pipes, take the one on the left (doesnt really matter), and jump a little tiny earlier just to do a quick ass 360 to get my boost to max, then i take the long series of pipes, at the end of the pipes, i just ride over the little hump, then i take the rail to the right (u can take the left one, its exactly the same), and ride the first and second part, then purposely miss the third part, and boost like i've never boosted beore to the finish line for a 1:08:03, its hard to picture what im sayin so just play and read and you'll see what im talkin about...

Let me know how your scores improve : )

Not sure if this will help, but I think I found a select trick. At the first hump, do double misty/rodeo unethical experimental. This should fill up your boost, but as SOON as you hit the ground, hit select. You'll be at the top of the ramp, with a little bit of red boost left. Now you wont get any air, and you have enough boost to last you until the pipes. Just tap your boost... as long as you have about half of your orange boost left, you can keep a steady 74 mph going. Hope this helps : )

blackdth, i tried the select trick, and i think it is a little better, im still trying to get a perect run with it, then itll show if its worth it, but it looks faster, it just has acceleration problems

blackdth, the i just did a good run with the select trick and got 1:08.54, and that was with zoe, and since it beats my other run with zoe im pretty sure its faster, so im gonna do it with elise, maybe with her extra speed......

ps, when you do the select trick and get to the top of the ramp, you can do a little 360, since its just a fall

Yay. Please don't post over and over again, alpmaster. Edit it all into one post, for that way you get posts easily.

It's not going low, its being smart, and yes fbx does whatever it takes to get the fastest line. And also I dont mind you posting everytime you get a good time.

all this talk about how quickly you can speed through pipe dream on ssx1 has me wondering about pipe dream on tricky.
I tried this a while back, a couple weeks before ssx3 came out, and i ended up a second behind gondee's time. Not sure how he got that, let alone fbx's even faster run. I'll have to dig up my time for that track, I have it written down somewhere among all my notes for ssx3. unfortunately that folder is pretty damn thick, so it may be a little while.
But, if my memory serves me correctly, from the start I stayed right, caught the first rail on the right side, used that to rail the entire first section, staying on the right side, went over the hill and caught the next rail, when that ended, continued to stay near the right wall, went into the final section, and boosted the series of pipes there. I cut all jumps diagonally to cut airtime, landed directly on rails as often as I could, and boosted on rails without even bothering to turn sideways.
I haven't ever been able to figure out much faster ways through that course. What about you? :poke

i saw FBX's pic and he played with 2 player so he could just push the other player over and have boost from the start

im talkin about Tricky Pipe Dream
