I love SSX Snowboarding and above all, I LOVE SSX Tricky. It is definitely one of my favourite games of all time. You just can't beat it.
Disappointed does not even come close to describing how I felt when I first loaded up SSX3 on my PS2. I thought it was going to be more of Tricky but even better, I was SO excited. But then...*thud* I thought I was going blind! Where had all the cool characters gone? What the hell had happened to the existing characters?! And what the f*ck had happened to the slopes?!?!?
SSX Tricky is fun, addictive and highly enjoyable. I love the character interaction, the fact that it's not too realistic and the fact that the uber tricks are absurd. I love the bright colours of the slopes, the tracks themselves and the music that goes along with them. It's magical. SSX3 has totally lost that magic. The peaks are boring, the characters are boring and on the whole, the game itself just looks boring. It's very drab with no colour and no excitement.
SXX Tricky = Thrilling
SSX3 = Boring
EA let me down.
