i dunno if something like this has been posted before but...

i recently bought ssx and i'm having DREs. =( my ps2 is around 3 years old and i think the DREs are as a result of the whole "ps2 having probs reading purple-backed discs". anyone got any remedies?

send it to the nearest Sony place. i sent mine to Michigan for the same reason and they did it free of charge.
OR
you could clean it yourself and risk hurting your ps2 in some way.
