Why should it be merqury city? what track/character would you want it to be? or just ssx.com or sumthin like that? i would want garibaldi.com. garibaldi is my fav track.

This goes back to a very critical topic on the gamefaqs.com SSX board back in 2000. Grandmort was the only great player there who was web savvy and held a poll on a fan site he would create and what he should name it. I wish I could remember a few of the options, but all the track names were there - snowdream.com, etc, and we all picked Merqurycity because it was both a cool name for a domain and because we thought it pointed out that we were a community of gamers who like SSX, and if we lived anywhere, it would be in Merqury City in the game. There wer so few of the current players who posted in that topic, but myself and Dolphingirl did - so we all kind of decided on the name since we were the pillars of the community.
What would we have called it if it wasn't Merqurycity? I always like seeing new ideas.

Don't even think about changing it Gondee! ... Unless you change the name to like Pipedream.com...but that sounds like a porn site..

I'm not changing it. When alpmaster was searching for an SSX site, he typed in

So there is some credence to having our name. But I've always wondered what would work best if we weren't Merqurycity. Back in the day there was a pitiful little SSX site called SSXfan.com. Now it's a japanese site about cloth diapers.
But SSX-what.com if we went with something else?
