If EA make a new game they will need to make new tracks. But which was your favourite old track.

And why? Was it a particular feature, the location, just the general feel?

I have excluded the Big air and Superpipe tracks from the poll as you couldn't do anything else on them where as you could do a trick contest on a race course or race down a slopestyle.

Seconded, I wold have alowed you to vote for three of them, but what can you do.

:D

My favourate track in the original game was Elysium Alps. This was purely because of the variety. I liked the double loop, and the half pipe.
The over under, double route in the middle of the run and the backcountry feel of that section made it feel magical.
The length and individuality of the tracks in the first two games made them better than those of 3 and OT.

Having said that I also realy liked The Style Mile due to the variety of routs it had and my favourite feature, the bell.

To be honest, I've never really played the original SSX. *don't kill me!!* But I do like Tokyo Megaplex on Tricky, Style Mile on 3, aaaand I'm not sure about OT. This is a really tricky one to decide!

EDIT: Sod it, Merq City gets my vote. xD

Yeah it's hard to pick just one track, but I picked Happiness 'cause of it's general feel.

But I also love Ruthless Ridge & The Throne. Most of all in SSX3 I like doing the peak races.

In Tricky it's a toss up between Elysium Alps and Merqury City.

In OT it's definitely Mind the Gap.

:lol I looked for that hack for a long ass time and none of the 7 options worked very well. They were all buggy.

The good news is our next version of phpbb (which is my next big project after I graduate) will have that option by default, including limiting polls by time, checkbox or multiple choice, etc. :)

awesome. it will definitely come in handy despite people's past objections that the point of a poll is to pick only one. in this case, it would be ideal.

I think its fine to have more than one choice in a poll so long as the poll setter can set a maximum number of votes.

Not ridable yet.... but the snow starts falling on top of the mountain usually around mid Oct. It's just an early dusting right now. But our season starts Nov22, sometimes earlier if the snow pack is there. Whistler is open to riding 9 months of the year.

Ive bumped this topic up to help some friends out and in light of a new game on the way if there was going to be any of the old tracks in it, which would you choose.

If you could cast a vote and write which tracks are your fav (including the one you picked) Id be most grateful. Doesnt matter if youve already voted you can still choose your fav's.

Feel free to give your fav tracks a mark out of ten

Thanks for your help

I was thinking of voting for Alaska first... but then I changed my mind and thought of which course I enjoy most and can play for hours without getting bored. Therefore Style Mile is, in my opinion, the best course ever created in the SSX series. It just mixes everything in a very perfectly stylish way.

The results from this topic and a number of other post put together from MerquryCity by me have been posted in PSM3 magazine.

It might come as no surprise that Merqury City was voted the best overall track in the SSX games, followed by Elysium Alps and Untracked.

Cheers and keep voting

PSM3 indeed, I'm going to have to seek that out on my return to the UK.

Before I left my beloved playstation I was coming to like Between the sheets more and more, seemed to me that it has a creativeness of lines coming close to the epicness of Style Mile, with the natural materials look and alltime winner that continuous powder boosting it up there. Its been a fair few years since I started this topic and though my opinion hasnt altered in terms of my fave runs I now apreciate them all on a more even scale, its hard to think of a single track that dosnt have a unique epic turn or jump in it, might even be worth making a topic discussing our favourite features/moments in ssx.

Slightly off topic but to anyone who cares I'm currently in Vancouver and so did furfill that dream of skiing on Canadian snow. :D
