PS2 Emulation on PS4

This may not be related to SSX (2012) in general but did anyone (besides me) hear about Sony bringing in PS2 Emulation to the PS4? I don't know when there going to release the emulation to the PS4 or if the games have to be bought to play. I've seen quite a few PS2 games on the PS store already but not sure if the emulation is out yet. Anyway was just hoping that the classic SSX games would be sneaking somewhere in there. That would be awesome

Along with the mention of PS2 emulation on PS4, Official Playstation magazine used this as an example of what could be possible to play if it went ahead in this month magazine.

Anyone got the twitter link to Sony so we can confirm we'd like this and more?

OR - if we are getting an SSX in the works in 2016, wouldn't it be nice if SSX, Tricky and SSX3 and On Tour were all on the disc and worked with the PS4 emulation software? (and of course Xbox).

Heck yeah, that would be an incredible idea. Like they did with Star Wars Battlefront, including old games with the new one.

On Twitter, PlayStation Worldwide Studio’s Dave Thach asked people for feedback on what PS2 games they wanted to play on the PS4. He urged everyone to use the hashtag “#ps2ps4.”
