on another note, i think it would be awesome if there was a 3-heat set up on some of these(maybe event of the day), with bigger buy ins and pay outs than normal. not only would it make things a little more intense, but it would make it feel more like previous games as well. just an idea. now, i think its time to set up a custom event in Patagonia, get your wing suits on people.

Apparently I was blocking the lobby on Big Show last night. So there has to be a glitch somewhere. I got a message from Morten last night, telling me about it. But by then I hadn't raced there for almost 2hrs. I was actually in the middle of a run on his 100mill custom when he told me. And I see chromemaps has seen the same, but at the same time seeing me race at Serenity.

So to all of U who got frustrated I'm sorry! But it's not my fault. I didn't know.

I hope they fix it soon. My GF's working the evening today so it's just me and my SSX all night :)

Has anyone tested if it has to do with the way you quit an event maby? Like if the same happens when you hit start and select quit and if you go to the finish line and select back to globe. I just hit start and quit last night....maby that's why.

I'll test it later to day if no one has gotten araound to do it by then.

Been playing a little of the 321 events with some otherfolks from here over the last few days; certainly love the game type (such a shame it dosnt support bigger lobbies imo); really excellent addition to the game, the dev team need a large case of beer provided for them. Hope the bugs get worked out. (Batty says they are working on them, so thats cool).

Kinda rediscovered the game with this DLC, id forgotten what amazing fun it was. (still rubbish at tricking and love racing crew, checkin in).

I was quite amused when I started up a 3-2-1 race on Bear Claw where there were 3 of us all as Retro Psymon :P

In my opinion I hate the fact that there are time limits on the trick events, because your actually supposed to take your time when doing tricks and not be rushed while doing so... :(

So you'd like to sit at the finish line for twenty minutes while some dillweed meanders slowly down the course? Not me, thanks...

That's one really nice thing about normal Global Events: the gameplay is asynchronous, so they don't need to put in a timer, and you can take your sweet time. If you want that kind of gameplay, why are you playing 3-2-1 for trick events instead of just playing normal Global Events instead?

I love the new timed trick events since they give trick it a whole new twist, BUT I do wish there was a "no time limit" option as well. No GEs are not the same either since you can restart and take multiple runs to get your best score. I would love the 1 run, no restart 3-2-1 style with an option for no time limit as well. Again though, I do love the time limit twist that was added, but I am a bit surprised there is no "no time limit" option. Maybe down the road we will get this, and maybe not. I do understand why they decided not to incorporate this in the preset 3-2-1 events since the trickers who dont use as much of the mountain could be waiting for a bit for the ones who are doing a lot of side to side, side wall hits, etc.......BUT I still would like the option even if it could only be accessed for custom 3-2-1 events between friends.

I love the timed trick it 3-2-1 go events as well and wish for it not to be changed. IMO a good rider is more than just bunny hops and repetitive planning. Now that trick events are timed you actually think ahead and plan your line wisely while moving along, versus staying in one area for too long. I find that admitting and sexy. Just my two cents tho. :china

I also love the timer because it feels oldschool like SSX Tricky and 3. <3 :)

Hey Todd, we can't have 'no time limit' or 1 person could spoil the whole event by just stopping and not finishing their run. A poor sport or troll would be probably quite likely to do this and everyone else would be stuck waiting at the finish with no choice but to quit and lose their credits. They wouldn't even be able to see the standings until everyone crosses the line.

Have you tried a 'relaxed' event yet?

The way the timer works is that the 'hyper' time is the base, with 'standard' and 'relaxed' just being a multiple of that time rounded up to the nearest 15s. We can tune this multiplier to be a bit higher for 'relaxed' if you guys wanted it.

With the current tuning our feeling was that relaxed should still be more aggressive than the amount of time a perfectly executed run keeping flow at 20x would be, since you get that experience in regular global events. But I can see how the best guys in the world like you, hero, yako, etc might want a means to do 1-run showdowns comparing your skill at that style of run. Just keep in mind you are the top 0.0001% of all players. :)

Let me know what you think.

Uh hell no, hyper = hell of a lot of fun. It's one of the biggest reasons I love these events, it's the closest thing to slopestyle we'll ever get.

Hero got 43 mil on Big Show during a Hyper run, I think he'll survive ;)

I did not even think about that Todd and that makes complete sense why you cant do a no time limit. There would surely be some jokers out there that would just stop and screw it up for everyone and get their fun that way........bastards! :frusty

I actually just got done with a nice long session on Last To Hit which was relaxed and I thought the pacing was excellent. At the same time, I would certainly not be opposed to extending the relaxed option a hair to allow a bit more breathing room. I could go either way I suppose. Hope others will chime in on their opinion on this.

What would be a nice solution that could make everyone happy is maybe a 4th category such as SUPER relaxed? :) I dont know if that is even a practical possibility, but it would be cool to have that pop up on some of these events. If a 4th SUPER relaxed type option is not realistic, and if I was pushed, I would say just keep it as is for the reasons you mention (a nice separation from GEs/Explore).

Having said all that, the way you guys have it setup now is awesome IMO and I am not complaining. Hyper trick is a total blast and really gives trick it a phenomenal and exciting twist vs how we have been playing it up until now (which is great in its own right of course). Relaxed definitely gives a nice noticeable extended cushion in comparison to hyper which is great to mix it up. I have yet to try the middle option.

I appreciate the kind words as far as my playing goes, but you are giving me a bit too much credit! Hero and Yako are in a class of their own. :china I am doing my best to catch up though as much as possible. :D

100% agreed on hyper. DONT TOUCH THAT SETTING! Hyper is crazy fun and a complete and total blast! :thumbsup

Kav, I wasn't referring to changing Hyper. We can change what the multiplier is that determines the relaxed time without affecting the hyper time.

For example, if relaxed is set right now to be 1.5x hyper then if hyper is 2:00 (120s), relaxed would be 3:00 (180s).

If we change that multiplier to be 2x then while hyper stays the same at 2:00 (120s), relaxed would become 4:00 (240s).

Can't remember exactly what the multipliers are set to right now, but we can tune them 'live' to whatever you want.

Make sense?
