Ok... People on merq aren't the only people playing this game. Just because some people took major advantage of the high roller events doesn't mean upcoming content must now be charged in the billions.

A couple of million is more realistic. I imagine if it took 1mil to unlock level 11, that it'll be 5-10mil each to unlock level 12. I don't see the whole point to charging us to unlock the ability to level a character, and then charging us again to max them out for us. It doesn't make sense. If they're gonna charge for unlocking again then don't charge us again to max out the character. It should have been 1mil to automatically make us level 11 and 5-10mil to automatically make us level 12.

I am not suggesting things to be charged in the billions (unless it was some insanely rare and ridiculously awesome item :heh ). I was saying that at this point there are a lot of people who have made millions and some billions with NOTHING to spend it on within reason. Once you have your riders decked out in top shelf gear, all that is left to buy is mods. I think it would be great if we could buy our way to the next level in light of this, but ONLY as an option.

I dont agree with you that we should automatically be at level 11, 12, etc when we buy access to the next level.....I think the unlock and then leveling up after is fine and should be kept as is for those who enjoy the leveling up process, but include an option for those who dont and charge say 20mil or whatever to auto level the character which would give us another way to spend credits and those of us who dont want to do the leveling up grind (for those who see it that way at least) dont have to and have an alternative. Just doing an auto level up though would be bad for those who enjoy the process since this would strip them of game play and this would be better as an option to keep more people happy.

Mmmm... Some interesting points reading through all the comments & I'm sure some have good merits!

My 2 cents... I think there could have been more longevity aspects incorporated to try please everyone, but I also respect the saying that "You can't please everyone" & i.m.o. that's what's happened for many people! I think the SSX Dev team had to try find a balance that would try satisfy the awesome gamers to the new to gaming crowd, plus the spectrum inbetween!
Maybe having options like: "Easy - Medium - Hard - Are you F***ing Insane" could have catered for this?

Anyway, back to the question at hand... I still play anywhere between 2 & 5 times a week. Not too much on GE's due "negative earnings glitch"

I meant that either they charge us to unlock the level and we level up on our own (like we did with level 11), or that we don't have to unlock the level but have the option to pay a fee to level up automatically (because people were asking for it). But it shouldn't be both things combined.

If they implent that I want that implemented for anyone else still stuck at level 11 as well.

Or another Double XP weekend. Preferrably when I'm not in Germany for 2 weeks, FML.

I like the game enough to casually play, you know pop the disc in once a month for a few hours. I played it every day for a month and then waited patiently for the DLC, which looks awesome but honestly I never managed to complete but 3 or 4 runs before technical Chernobyl happened. Because of that I lost most of my desire to continue caring. Felt like i got ripped off. So live, learn, and stay away. I should probably sell my copy but I am such a fan of the series its hard to make myself sell even a bad outing.

Nothing short of a spectacular DLC with many hours of content is going to bring me back to this game.

Minn is right. There was one last weekend, I remember checking it on the in-game banner.

There should be double XP weekDAYS to get people playing throughout the week to level up characters.
Keep high roller GE's only on the weekends for the hardcore players.

I stopped playing this game back at the beginning of May because I started my summer internship and moved into a place with no internet. Now I have internet but one of my friends has my 360. Once I get it back I'll probably start playing again, but I don't know how much long I'm going to play this for, since apparently there are barely any people playing GE's and I've put in a bunch of time into Explore already.

It's a shame, 'cause I really love this iteration of SSX. :)

I'm still hooked on this game, but the online play feels hollow.

I'm pretty sure that real-time multiplayer is what I need to get x100 enjoyment. Blue streaks are boring, and it feels a little like cheating to be able to see others' lines so easily.

Real-time global tournaments could be superb.

I'm sort of done with the game. I liked it a lot at the time I was addicted, but looking back, it was nothing more (or less) than a good game. Certainly not up there with Tricky and 3, but enjoyable nonetheless. Maybe I'll get back into it in a couple of months time, but for now I'm just looking forward to the potential sequel, where they really could create an amazing game using this as a basis.

I almost haven't touched the game in the last few weeks. I've got everything finnished and I'm almost at 2.1bil credits with nothing to spend on. I thought I'd wait for lvl12 and the "stuff" they're working on. lvl12 would be enough to get me back on the game again so whatever the other stuff is, it will hopefully get me addicted again. If I play now, it's mostly just to chill, listen to some music and look at some nice graphics :)

I'd play more, and I want to play more, but life has been crazy busy. I've only really played 3 games this year: SSX, Dark Souls, and Max Payne 3.

Now that I work full-time and live in another city during the week (away from my 360) I don't really ever play video games. Sometimes I'll come home on the weekends and want to play, but my friends will invite me out to do something before I even get home.

Portable SSX with multiplayer would be pretty awesome. Haha.
