Xedec you should have a read of this topic before making a video tutorial on gear and mods:

Too late, he already made it. :D

That is why I said it, his video is wrong.

The Tutorial is more o a recommendation how how I think mods work. Like I said in the video it should work in "Theory" and thats just how I use them. :thumbsup

One of the developers of the game has explained how the setups work in that topic, how you think they work is irrelevant.

they also said that id doesnt matter if you add extra mods for your gears too but I proved them wrong. Like said how they say they work and how the games physics make it work is not always the same turn out. Trust me on this one. I am not saying I am write but I know game physics when I play them. I get good at game by understanding the Physics not by playing the game a lot.

That doesn't change the fact that kingbitty's explanation of how the principles of the setups work is right and what you did in your video is wrong.

Well Lancast I don't think Xedec was exactly wrong. I think he was also explaining how he would set up his characters gear & mods.

Batty told me that. He explained to me that the way I use wingsuit mods does not matter, or at least it should. BUT! they do work and he is surprised by this. A lot of people are. if I wingsuit with out mods the wingsuit doesnt feel the same its slower and loses lift much faster. Doesn't matter what is said. I stand by my recommendations if you don't like it then that sucks for you. They said how the mods are suppose to work when they put them in that doesn't mean thats exactly whats going to happen when the game is done. Chill out and except it. They are right and I have my own Theory. Just because they made the game doesn't always make them correct on every single detail. It is all abouit Physics. people say I am not that good with a wingsuit but I got a 50.53 on a GE winner take all event beating Spacemarine no wingsuit!

Yes because the physics are made out of thin air, they didn't make them. Sure, there are things the developers are unaware of as the physics can sometimes work a bit differently than expected - that's why there are glitches in games, but something like stats, the principles of how they add up, won't change as it's all maths. You added three speed mods in your video for tane which is pointless as there is a cap.

If there really is a cap it doesnt really work that well man and yes lancast they did make the physics for the game every developer does and it doesnt alwaya add up because the more you add to the game changes how the game and player will react. I been playing games 19 years man and been pro for 7 of them. Every game has a specific type of physics engine running. Trust me I know what I am talking about!

What is it with some of you? Do you really need to stroke your e-dicks that much? Or is it much like loving the sound of your own voice, you feel compelled to read your own text?

Why does every topic have to turn into antagonistic bullshit? Suddenly everyone has all the facts and answers about everything and they're right about everything and anything and something when it's really nothing that they're right about.

Me personally, I've been getting fed up coming here and reading topics. Which is sad since I'm an admin and I've been here for nearly nine years now since the beginning of the grav bar. And I know I am far from alone when I say that. But it is just not enjoyable to read this nonsense. To have every topic get turned into crusading shit.

I find less and less of a reason to post because every time I do, my opinion is wrong and I'm an idiot because I don't agree with your opinion. I have no desire to make topics, though I have plenty of ideas, because I will always be wrong and what I have to say is pointless because it's not what You say.

Yes, you can have an opinion but there is absolutely no reason to be a god damn dick about it. This is first and foremost a fansite. Yes, you are entitled to the right to say something negative but know that these are the uber fans. Some may agree with you while most will disagree with you but that does not give you the right to go into every topic and continue to go on about point A or point B when the topic is about point X.

You can hate the game, love the game, whatever you want. There's aspects of it I absolutely hate and have gone off about but I'm not sitting here on my soapbox going into every topic and ranting and raving about it.

Enough with the threadjacking. Enough with taking useful threads with insight, that help people, and so on and turning them into ego shitfests.

I really don't want to go back to being that hardass nazi bitch mod that I was when gondee first made me a mod some seven and a half years ago well before admin rank but some of you are tempting me beyond belief. I'm seriously contemplating bringing back the issuing of suspensions or just outright banning.

This is supposed to be a fun place to be, to hang out, to talk about the game we love...but instead it's a dick measuring forum where all we do is bust out the rulers in every post and every topic (high scores excluded of course).

Opinions are just that, opinions. You aren't required to love them, like them, accept them but for god's sake people, be human and show some respect already. Respect for everyone, not just gondee or me or baka or yeti or whoever you are cliquey with. This end all be all holier than thou attitude needs to stop. You are not always right. I am not always right. And most of the time when I am wrong on the board or whatever, I will admit to it and apologize.

Everyone deserves to be heard fair and square.

I really don't want to have to lock this topic but if that's what it takes for you guys to get your junk in order, then I will.

Refrain from the personal attacks.

Edit: Temporarily locked because apparently I need to "relax" so I am, by locking this thread for a while. If you think this is a "debate," you are sorely mistaken. This didn't turn into a debate, this turned into nonsense.

And this has nothing to do with the game breeding competition or whatever. This is ego bullshit. Oh my god, the game doesn't run at a million frames per second, I'm gonna post about it everywhere I go. Oh my god, the wingsuit sucks, I'm gonna post about it everywhere I go. Oh my god, this game sucks, I'm gonna post about it everywhere I go. Oh my god, gondee won't change the scoreboard since EA screwed up the way the records are kept, I'm gonna post about it every where I go. You get the point, maybe.

I can almost promise that if I asked anyone here who stopped posting to PM me and tell me why, it would be because of nonsense like this.

My apologies Xedec, for threadjacking your topic. I'll open it back up later unless you would prefer to start it over.

Take heed of vix's warnings and tone down the combative tone of the topic and treat each other with respect. Thread reopened.

EDIT: Xedec says he would like to start a new thread. Relocked.
