Am I the only one who detests that? Its artificial difficulty, making it impossible to see infront of you. It makes me feel physically sick trying to play reverse-cam levels :l

This is another one for me that I probably wont ever touch again now that I have my gold in Explore. I did not hate it and actually learned to appreciate it for a change once I got used to the camera, but its not something I see spending any more time with in light of all the other great runs in the game with a normal perspective. Its all subjective, but yeah this is not one of my favorites either. Getting the trick it gold gave me problems since the camera really threw me off and its hard to judge the terrain as far as when you are going to land sometimes and where :frusty

It was a nice gimmick for World tour, but it should've been optional in Explore and GE. Not seeing where you're going totally takes the fun out of getting highscores on those tracks if you ask me. I much prefer the lv.1 avalanche cam.

I'd like the option of playing it forwards after getting gold in explore. It wasn't that hard to get gold - just annoying/
Not one I'll be going back to in a hurry... or thinking about with fond memories that's for sure/

Batty posted once that he showed a regular-cam screenshot of one of the avalanche courses to people who wanted an option to change the camera for those drops, and it made them understand why they didn't put in the option; he said he would post the picture when he got the chance. I assume that means its design is tremendously boring (maybe because the avalanche would be too hard to escape otherwise...?), but I'd still like to see it.

Its an idea that could be developed I think. I love playing the Dilemma in Alaska, I really like the dynamic camera angle, the way it swoops in and out whenever an avalanche is triggered. Perhaps that's a better way to develop it. Like a lot of people it seems I really thought avalanches would play a much bigger part in the game. Perhaps the camera needs to be a bit closer and at a more steeper angle. I'd certainly like control over the reverse camera just like I do with the regular behind view. Its also a bit dull that all the Alaska avalanche runs are at night. I wonder why they don't have at least one day time render across the game modes for those tracks?

Avalanche is definitely one of the more enjoyable deadly descents though. I also like trying to put up good times with the race it mode on those two tracks.

I'm fine with the idea of an avalance but I prefer the lvl 1 camera as well. It lets you see the track, while still having the danger of the avalanche. I would love to see that screenshot of Batty's, or I will see if there are any hackers around who have done that.

:shrug I personally don't find it very difficult to get used to. Invincible's really chill.

It seems most players here just hate it when things get shaken up a little bit, even if it's only on 2 of the many, many tracks in this game. :shrug

I can't get used to the reverse camera. I always steer the wrong way because of the flipped controls.

I really like the regular camera angle on the tracks though, where it zooms in and out after you trigger an avalanche

I don't like artificial difficulty. Where a game is being cheap.

Some shake ups I like and some I dont. Most I like or can find some redeeming quality to some degree. Reverse cam is like this for me even though I dont feel any need to play it now that I have my gold. I would say the only change of pace type thing that I dont like at all is oxygen and the thin air drops which are more annoying than anything for me. Otherwise, I like most the change ups in the game since it keeps things fresh and there is always something to do.

I like it. By chance I haven't done a reverse camera run since World Tour, but I found it fine for a couple of runs there.

Yeah the dilema's camera work is excellent, should definitly have been used more, only other track that I can remember uses it to a small extent is death race at the end... Dilema's camera really keeps the rythem of the track flowing prefectly :)

I don't mind the reverse cam but as many have said it is not good for trick it... A forward screen shot of the track would be cool, but I guess its just a massive wide open steep downhill with loads of ridges and pillows ;)

I like the reversed camera but the avalanche tracks that have the normal view I enjoy more because when I see the avalanche start to chase me at the bottom of the screen I get really excited. But I have no problem with the reverse camera when I play on every track I haven't beaten all my friends on... except those dreadful wing-suit tracks, I just suck with the wing-suit. :shrug

I think they'd feel completely wrong if they were the other way around if you ask me. You want to go right, you press right. Same as any game.

What's difficult about it? You can't bail from holding tricks, so it's almost too easy if you ask me.

I hated it at first. Then my friend wanted me to compete with him on one of the reverse camera mountains, not the main one but one of the others. I refused but he kept begging and I succumbed. And one run down that mountain in a trick event is all just clicked and I really dug it. Not much of a fan for racing on these tracks but tricking on these tracks is great.

I like the reverse camera for the tracks that use them. It feels like you're watching snowboarding footage and works well with the avalanche mechanic.

The reverse camera is what makes it unique and deadly.

I don't wanna know exactly where i'm going and be able to plan ahead making sure i know when to pull off the big tricks and which routes to take etc. I do fine by just taking my time and not risking it. Honestly the Avalanche DD to me is just a chill out session. Nice wide open track, big drops. The avalanche is generally easy to outrun.

The controls are fine aswell. As Midian said left is left and right is right. Everything else is the same. It's best if you look at it as if you're controlling a dot on the screen and you're moving it left and right, not the actual character and their movements etc. I dunno, but it just seems natural to me :(

Avalanche DD is the best imo and it certainly doesn't need to be dumbed down. I'd say it's one of the harder DDs and should stay that way, unless we want another Tree, Rock, Ice, Cold etc style descent where we just have to memorise it all.

Maybe some more tracks should have avalanches, nothing major. Then you can have your normal camera and the fun of the avalanche chasing you. But the Alaska drops should keep their cameras as they are.

The reverse camera is what makes me glad there's no requirement for getting all the snowflakes....(that and the tracks don't tell you where you're missing one)...because you can't see what's ahead of you and you can't plan where you want to go, etc.

I don't mind it for the few runs that it has, just glad not all avalanches are like that.
