Wow, it's a very different experience playing SSX with this controller :heh Very fun though :)

Sweet! Now I might have the inspiration to play again. :D

Let me know if you need any tips doing Uber Tricks - that's what you'll have trouble with. I don't need to tell you anything about the courses. :D Rely on the easiest ones first - the heart and the loop. Then branch off into a few that you can do on a regular basis.

Oh, and submit a buttload of scores dude, we need them. :heh

Yeah, the freestyling definitely has a hard learning curve. I tried the tuturial for the ubertricks. I can do a few but not consistantly. The controller adds to a new difficulty that i've never experienced in a video game. Also, kinda feels like SSX1 how there kinda isn't an auto land physic. You have to press "A" to land which is kinda lame. I noticed you can't prewind or i'm just not doing something right :heh

And for those parents out there that say their kids are lazy, playing them video games, the Wii will definitely give you a workout! :dead

gondee's right on with the plan of attack there.

gondee - how do we look up high scores in the game again, or do you need a screen shot of the time right as the even finishes? My freestyle stuff blows, but I might have some decent slalom scores.

The easiest way to do it is to take screenshots right when you get the score, but you can "check" the top scores for a course if you play two player - there's an option to check the top scores for each track when you are selecting which course you'd like to play.

I played SSX Blur a few months ago, because my friend has that and a Wii.
I liked the game and the controls, it was pretty fun to play. I probably would've have really liked it had it not been old tracks that I have already played :heh.
But yeah, the hardest thing to get used to is the uber tricks.

Ive just got a Wii (well my wife has) so i demanded that we had a copy of Blur with it....not played it yet but soon, very soon :)

Just bought it today, first impression was that it was pretty rubbish, played a bit more and am starting to like it but very hard to get used to the controls and going from a maxed out character from On Tour yesterday to a nub rider today is pretty strange too, expecting better balance/speed/response than I am getting by far but I will just have to get used to it I guess.

Yeh , know how ya feel. Ive been playing it on and off and I like it, but I think its a more shallow game than OT in order to concentrate on the wii remote. I miss the voices, the audience stands/noise and im not a bit fan of the character graphics (too nintendo cute for me). I like all the games for different reasons, graphics, characters etc but I think for me Blur requires you to think about how you move down the mountain which can be confusing sometimes, with a pad; movement becomes second nature and I got more involved with the game instead of thinking tilt wrist move thumb wave remote crash dam, arse next corner etc................... full credit to EA for trying something though, but that seems what Blur on OT are....EA trying something to get ready for the next true SSX game (hopes).

Ive just reached peak three with Moby myself, but I wanted Zoe, so I put the all character cheat in and am now back to peak 1 while I build her up. :) [zoessx]

I Just got it yesterday....And it's a tough S.O.B. But...I'm good in Slalom Mode. :D And i only unlocked Felix so far. And one Tournement! I'm still working on it.

I just got my Wii Oct20, and got Blur Sunday. I just got to peak 2 and I gotta say, the game is awesome. I like the Blur effect when using boost instead of a colored line coming out of the board. I also like the abstract feeling of the gameplay, unlike the concrete feeling gameplay of SSX 3.

It's not a bad game :no I just cannot handle that control scheme of the wii with SSX. It feels like it limits soo much.
