I just wasted an hour and a half. Read this so you don`t do the same.
I was collecting ubertricks. I unlocked all but 1. I think I had 228 out of 275. Then the game froze.
I lost all of my progress. The game doesn't autosave unless you complete an event.
So, if you are collecting ubertricks, make sure you save periodically.

I had 140 uber collectibles with 2 tricks unlocked. This morning, I unlocked all but 1 ubertrick, and had 228/275. They were not easy either. Now, I am back to 140.

Heheh, mine did that too for about 3-4 times...It sucks!
I have collected 258 collectibles now, im so happy.
Another fun thing is that when you are in freeride and you get to the bottom of the couse and there is soon gonna be that option menu if you want to go to Peak 1, 2 or 3. Then JUST before it comes, you hit the pause botton, then do that a couple of times, then you have passed the gate, and if you go all the way over to the stereo sound things and bumb into them, then the camera view will view on the character's face, i've done that a couple of times, couse i wanted to see the faces of the characters in gameplay.

Mine froze on peak one, just in front of the sign where you get to choose which peak you want to be on.

mine froze a few times when i first got the game.. but it hasn't happened in over a week now.

mine has froze several times...

Usually it's not a real problem, because it would freeze after a race or some type of event.
The game autosaves after an event, so when it freezes and the Wii gets rebooted... nothing is lost.

This time, however, I had been colleting ubertricks for over an hour. Nothing was saved, all progress was lost.

That totally sucks dude. It's frozen on me once, but never on something like that.

I have nooo idea..
The annoying thing is that you can't press restart on the console when it happens, you have to turn off the power that is hocked to the console, and that also happens to be where i get my power to the tv, cellphonecharger, lamp, PC, and a bunch of other things. So that TOTALLY sucks!
