I've got the game now, but I have to finish work before I can provide first impressions. Rest assured, once I do I'll give plenty of feedback. :D

I registered at GAF, mostly just to give feedback on that thread. I'm impressed they've got EGM employees and others who are having decent conversations about the game. :D

Fantastic! Holy crap, gondee on GAF?! *faints* :heh

:heh I doubt everyone will feel like that, but I'm impressed with the anticipation and fair shakes on that thread. Seems like everywhere is either people who hate the series or are just fanboys and not serious. :D

GAF in a nutshell! :heh

But yes, the thread is presently taking on a semi-serious nature.

a friend of mine is hardcore into GAF, even got me to sign up but I never post.

Anyways, it's kinda strange to see the reviews all over the place. Can't wait to see what you guys all have to say.

It's awesome to see so many reviews published; it helps to feed excitement about the game, which is of course good for the series.

The Wii remote can be pretty sensitive, depending on the surrounding lighting, and distance from the sensor. I wonder if all of the reviewers are taking that into account.

That IGN review is awesome. I always renew my Insider subscription right before E3 so I can get nice movies, but then I never visit IGN for the entire year. And E3 usually sucks. When will I learn? :frusty

So it's nice to get some other use because this video review in hi-res is fantastic! Only another 10 days until I get my hands on this but it looks really nice in the video.

It's also nice to see that they're making use of the Wii in the menus and so on. It really seems to me that they've put the care into the game like they did with the first three. It always feels a bit cheap in a Wii game when you have to use the d-pad or control stick to navigate menus and things. Not only does it feel unnatural on the Wii but to me it says the developer really didn't give a sh*t. /rant :heh

Thanks for the heads up gondee!

I just got an EGM in the mail...

They gave it a 5.5, 4.5, and 6.5 out of 10 Three different reviewers scored it.

They totally trashed the controls, courses, uber's, and called it really simplistic.

I suppose it was somewhat expected since 1up and EGM are kind of the same thing.
