Can't miss it. :china

Major points of the article:
  • Returning characters are back, they played with Mac, said there will be 2 new characters for Blur :thumbsup
  • Tracks will feature "tweaks", won't be exact replicas. :thumbsup

Interesting:
Quote:
As far as the game's signature ubertrick special moves go, those have seen three adjustments for the Wii game. The most significant is how you perform the moves, because you'll need to draw shapes with the Wii Remote while you're in the air. The second is the actual tricks, which you'll have to open up by collecting pickups as you play. Every 20 pickups will yield an ubertrick, with a total of 12 being available in the game.

Well, that's 4 more than On Tour, but still not as many as we'd like. :no

Gamespot is so dumb sometimes:
Quote:
Besides the visual cues to let you know you're getting your groove on, the game's soundtrack will dynamically change, ebbing and flowing with your success or failure, which adds a different feel to the experience that we're liking.

This is exactly. the. same. as every OTHER SSX EVER. :heh

Anyway, it looks like they listened a little bit to us, brought back the IP characters, at least. :yes

There's a new video up on gamespot as well. It has an interview with one of the staff members.

So far the only thing I noticed in the vid is that there are pillars of light on the track. I'm guessing like in SSX 3 for BIG Challenges. 12 tracks, some new, some revamped

No online.

A couple of other things from that interview (good spot vix!)

SSX Blur is NOT online.

And there are NO Nintendo characters, which is a huge surprise.

12 total tracks, some new, some revamped, some same classic tracks.

I said all that already. :P Except for the no Nintendo characters.

To add on to what you said earlier, 12 characters total will be in the game. No mention of unlockables.

No mention of a cac so far.

Only 12 tracks? Am I skipping a beat, or is that comparable to On Tour? (It just seems like a small number.)

It's fairly average, SSX and Tricky had less than that, SSX 3 had a little more. I'm more interested in learning what non-SSX On Tour tracks they've included besides Happiness.

Naw, that's okay. Unless the video is like, really awesome, I'd rather not host all the vids out there.

three's three course videos of gameplay, all three look like happiness.

it shows the guy doing ubers, crashing, bumping into stuff, and shredding.

it's hard to tell if it's freeride or an event. there's no one else on the screen. so i dunno.

g, i think the high res mpg version are maybe 14mb or so, the quicktime versions are over 50mb I believe. I'll have to check.

Yeah, they're all pretty standard, nothing special. No reason to have to upload them or anything. :no
