Does anybody miss the alpine boards in SSX and SSX Tricky? I find those boards really anoying but somehow, I kind of miss them for some reason. I think it was really usefull for some of the courses (for long, uncurved courses). It would have been nice to see them on SSX OT (esspecially for On The Rocks) or even Blur. Don`t get me wrong, I think the alpine skis are awsome on OT. Anyway, I`m looking forward your opinion.

I definitely didn't miss them. I hated them but that was before I found this site. I understand their purpose, I just don't like em. I'm glad they weren't in ssx3.

Yeah, I agree with you, vix. Some of them looked cool but ultimately they were, at lest for me, a huge hindrance.
I hated board attributes as well and I was very happy they got rid of those in ssx3.

They were a good option for indepth players. From the very start though, I'm sure average players just looked at them as hindrances. The difference in speed between the BX and Alpine boards were negligible. I do miss showoff boards, though.

I never liked boards that were based on attributes. Cause you were always forced to ues one set board to have the best stats. I liked SSX 3's setup where you bought attributes but could use whatever board you wanted to use.

I liked the Specialized boards-function. It is SSX.

Well I liked the alpine boards, but the was because that's what I used in life. I was never the one for air in life, unless it involved a cliff, and more for rails, or that one time I tried to grind the ski-lift when it wasn't moving.

I agree too. Choice is always good. Maybe they can have the 3 boards, and then under each they could have designs that have no impact on performance. There's lots of ways for them to make the system workable.

Actually they should have alot more boads than that. 5 would be a good quantity. For exampel:

Alpine boards
Freestyle boards
BX boards
Jump boards
SX boards (a little bit of all)

That was really only the case in Tricky.
