There is no recent topic about this, and since there is a Pet Peeves of OT topic, I guess there should be a topic about the thinks you liked about on Tour...

Though from reading this forum, I have a feeling there will be a flame war in here, but if you don't have anything positing to say, don't say it.

The things I liked:

- Sense of Speed
- Difficulty
- Length
- Skiing
- Same great addicting quality
- Only 20 dollars
- Good Soundtrack (I liked it)
- Shreds add variety

There are a lot of things I don't like, but just post the things you enjoy about the game.

I love how you can go down the whole mountain seamlessly without those little in between thingies like in SSX 3. This way you can combo down the entire mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!
:woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot :woot

What I like about it, is nobody forces you to play this game.

I've recently gotten back into playing this game. There is a certain quality in it that SSX 3 doesn't have(don't get me wrong, SSX 3 is much better). I think it's just how different it feels. I like the skiing aspect even though snowboarding is more fun. The track design is pretty cool because there are a multitude of ways to travel, and riding the whole mountain is a pretty nice treat. And also, some of the songs on the soundtrack were a real blast. "Run to the Hills" is my favorite, just going as fast as you can while this song is blaring is just.....wow. Overall, a pretty sweet game, but nowhere near greatness.

I was kinda dissapointed in On Tour, but i did like:

The Skiing, even though it wasnt done very well...

The seamless top-bottom runs

the amount of clothing+bolt ons

The fact that they had some real skis and boards.

Now the initial shock is over and Ive played it some more, except for the poor menu system/options and lack of playable character choice etc the actual in game part of On Tour is quite enjoyable and on a par with the other games.

Graphics are an improvement

It plays faster (but dont like the blur still)

I like the music

the Colours are great

People on the slope brings a bit of life

the mountain run is ok but I like the choice of 2 starting directions from the top

Sort the small things out and it could have been a great game, but I like to think of it as a kind of spin off idea to see what else could be done in preparation for the next game.

heres hoping :heh

What I like about OT is:

* How shreds helped my Showoff style
*How you build up through levels of skill and the competition got tougher...
...with SSX3 you were racing yourself all the time
* How the courses were designed for all disciplines...like Tricky

To me each version HAS taken the game forward...
I do has "issues" with OT

I can't wait to see the series move to the next gen consoles..
I magine longer more complex courses and head to head racing without those resets at course junctions.. prolly should be another thred

ummmm...
I'm in the same position as vix here.....
it was shite on a stick and sold to the masses like deep fried mars bars sold at a carnival...
sure it had a little taste to it in...

BONOBO!!!!!!!!! AND DFA 1979!!!!!!!!!!!

but it just didn't make up for the fact that it still isn't good for you...
hopefully ssx 5 will be transformed back into a real meal that will delight some of the masses or at least the true afficinados who love it for the aroma and flavors that are those here at the gravitude bar.
EA were not asking for french cuisine, but it would be nice if it were a good hearty meal that we enjoyed with ssx3

After taking a several-month hiatus from SSX altogether, I played a few OT events against my kids. It was a TON of fun!! The speed was wicked, the tracks were entertaining, and even the tricks were cool. The blur and camera angles made me fall a few times, but it was still a good playing experience. Unrelated, I lost to my kids more than once.

The Difficulty - Lot harder than SSX3.
Introduction of Skiing.
Boost bar on the bottom. I don't care whats directly at my feet, but i do care when there's Collectibles to my right that i can't see due to the boost bar.

What I liked:

Kaori's new design (voice sucked though >_>)

And quite honestly that's all I can even remember, seeing as I havn't played it since the last time I logged in to these boards. XD

mentioned above, but the Merq board is hands down the coolest thing about On Tour, especially casue they made it the best board in the game. seriously...just awesome. :)
