Ok, most of the songs in the SSXOT soundtrack sucked, but I actually liked a few of 'em. Here they are:

Hot Hot Heat - Pickin It Up
Louis XIV - God Killed The Queen

(I don't have the game; I'm just listening to the sample tracks they have on the official site.)

Paul Wall- Sittin Sidewayz

Although, i never listen to the soundtrack. I think the soundtracks for all the SSX's are dreadful.

God Killed The Queen - Louis XIV aka the best band ever.

No Pun Intended - The Hives
Red Hot - Jurassic 5
Indian Thick Jawns feat. P.E.A.C.E. - Diplo
Antisocial - Vatican DC
Shot Down - Nine Black Alps

I think the soundtrack is dope all around though.

Ok, Umm I never actually played the game, but what did you think of the Death From Above 1979 song? I love 'em.

Stuff by Bonobo. Actually, discovering Bonobo was the best thing I got out of OT. I own one of his CDs now and I must say its filled with awesome mellow goodness :yes .

Indian Thick Jawns feat. P.E.A.C.E. - Diplo
Pick up - Bonobo

I liked bat country until I saw the video. *shudders* So I'll have to go with Red Flag.

Pennywise - Competition Song
Billy Talent - Red Flag
Maximo Park - Apply Some Pressure

Fri Mar 31, 2006 11:52 am

That song called 'Flutter', and another song by Diplo, I think.

This thread is a big help. I loved Tricky, REALLY LOVED SSX 3, and ran right out and got On Tour. And the music just sucked. It looked great and played great, but the tracks were so harsh. Ever since then I've just played it with the music off.

I will definitely try some of the tracks listed here. Maybe I can make a custom play list I can actually enjoy!

In case you didn't know, P.E.A.C.E. is a member of a criminally slept on hip-hop group that goes by the name of Freestyle Fellowship. Their first two albums (To Whom It May Concern and Innercity Griots) are bona fide classics, although their most recent effort (Temptations) borders on mediocrity.

My favorite song from the game is B-Side Wins Again. You (almost) can't go wrong with anything that has Chuck D's name on it. Public Enemy's latest two records are fucking ill.

As much as I used to bash the music for On Tour, I now own albums by many of the featured artists (Bloc Party, DFA1979, The Faint, Hot Hot Heat, Maxïmo Park, Morningwood, Nine Black Alps, OK Go, and We Are Scientists).

Isn't life wonderful?

I'll go with B-Side Wins Again. I also like the start of the track that sounds like Gang Starr's 'Check The Technique', with the violins and slow heavy beat.

I mix the audio input of my PS2 with music from my HTPC, out through my receiver, so I play with SSX sound effects and any music from my collection. SSX goes oddly well with dub reggae.
