This basically works like the SSX3 player rankings. You post your best times and add them up to figure in an overall scoreboard.
Since the SSX On Tour events system is so stupid and confusing, only the racing events that cover 1 and 2 tracks will be included (at least as of now). The events that consist of 3 or more tracks are so boring and dull that I don't think anyone plays those seriously. The single-track and dual-track times will be added up separately for its own categories, and totalled for an overall category.
I'm not including freestyle as of yet because I don't think there's anyone who has played all of those tracks, and I don't feel like coming up with a working system. Differing time limits makes it harder than with racing. If anyone can come up with a working system for freestyle, I'll include it.
In case anyone has trouble figuring out what the track initialisms stand for, here's a list:
BTS = Between the Sheets HD = Hot Dam OTR = On The Rocks MTG = Mind The Gap Comp = Compilation SOB = Son Of A Bitch WK = White Knuckles HB = Half-Banked HL = Higher Learning WTF = Wild Tree Fun B&E = B & E RK = Roadkill LC = Last Call B2B = Back-2-Back WR = World Record
Here are all the events that will be covered in the player rankings:
If you're not sure on how to add up your times, here's a tutorial. If you're too lazy, I'll do it for you.
Note that when playing a Remix or BoxSet race, you must calculate your achieved time by subtracting the accumulated time from the previous heats. The time you see when crossing the finish line does not always correspond to your real achieved time, as anything from 0 to 3 hundredths are added.
Sadly, there is no single-track event for MTG, WTF, and B&E, so those three are only in dual-track events. HD doesn't have any single or dual, so it's out.
Post your times for the above events to figure in the rankings. You must post a time for all events in a particular category--if you don't, a time of 2:30.00 (single) or 5:00.00 (dual) will be assumed for each of the missing events. If you, for any reason, don't know or don't post the exact hundredths of seconds of a time, .99 will be assumed. If you have any questions or suggestions, post them here as well.
Rankings will be updated regularly in the first (this) post. Below are the rankings as of: 2006-04-04

Everytime I add the times i get something different from what you get REVirus. Not sure how to add the times..i convert the minutes to seconds first. Then add the all the seconds and then add the tenths of a sec to get a total of seconds. And then i divide the total seconds by 60. So if what i'm doing is wrong then my total calculations for my times will be wrong.
yea, i think ur doing it right except ur total time for single tracks is 10.8018...min
u have to multiply the .8018 by 60 to get 10 min and 48.11 seconds so ur time is 10:48.11
the same applies for the other times, just multiply the decimals by 60 to get whatever seconds
The '13' of the '513' will be the remaining hundredths of second. Add the '5' to the seconds:
9:178.13
Since the seconds are base 60 instead of base 100, we divide '178' by 60.
178 / 60 = 2.9666...
Take the integer ('2') and add it to the minutes. Take the decimals (0.9666...) and multiply them by 60.
0.9666... * 60 = 58
Final time: 11:58.13
You can use Windows calculator (Start -> Run -> calc.exe) to add up the seconds and hundredths easily. You can also use the modulus (remainder) function to get the seconds:
178 mod 60 = 58

Great work RE, this must take alot of time to put together. I will post my times when i done some more work on some of those events
I don't want to mess up all your hard work but how come WTF B2B was not included as it only WTF - RK.
WTF B2B was not included because I wanted to keep it to 1 dual-track event for each track. And between WTF Double and B2B, Double is the most played. Also because that way there's 9 events for each single and dual.
Hopefully somebody else will help take the idea further, but for freestyle we can have individual tracks for all the tracks in the RK Remix which includes:
Roadkill
Hot Dam
Between the Sheets
Last Call
And there are also:
White Knuckles Double SS (Single Track)
Son of a Birch Boxset SS (Single Track, one heat score)
On the Rocks Double SS (Single Track).
And maybe include for total freestyle:
Between the Sheets B2B Pipe
Compilation B2B Pipe
The only problem with this system is that it dumps B&E, Last Call, Higher Learning, Mind the Gap, and Half Banked. So hopefully somebody can expand on this .
That's a good idea Tim, but as you said it sucks that B&E, HL, MTG and HB would have to be excluded.
I think it would be better to use Boxset single heat for pipes, because they are shorter than B2B. Reasons: 1) score potential is much higher on pipes than on slopestyles; 2) who doesn't get a sore left thumb after 2 minutes on Compilation?
What do you all think? eviltim, royank, MonsterTricky, whoever else plays freestyle. Use those 7 slopestyle courses for freestyle ranking? Boxset single, B2B, or no pipes at all?
Have vids of all of 'em. The only damn course that's eluding me is LC. I can get 1:04.1 so easily, but 1:03 is insane. When I first hit 1:03, I was using skis; that could mean something.
