Platinum on Remix Race Last Call?

Is 5:28 even possible. I'm beginning to think that time is a bug and should be 6:28. It's the only event I'm missing a platinum. My best time is 6:11. And I have to say I didn't work out Compilation yet, but that's only because I can hardly believe you can drive that track in under 1 minute.

So what do you think, a bug and/or possible?

Might be possible when all the best lines are established, but for now its insanely difficult. This is the same event REvirus said was really hard to beat.

I really hate the last part of Last Call. And I hate that almost every long race ends there.

I've got no problem with Last Call itself, I have a 1:09:xx anytime, I just want to beat this 5:28 Remix-race.

RE Virus said it might have meant to be 6:28, because I'm pretty sure he still only has a 5:39 or something and he has worked on all of the tracks.

Just clearing something up. I've got the cube version, and is Last Call the same track as the Nintendo Village with just a different name?

Thanks for clearing that one up.

And this one is unusually difficult. I haven't figured out the best way to go on most of the tracks, and none of the ones in this event are my forte. By the end of the 3rd race I'm only a few seconds away from the actual record, so I've got quite a ways to go.

Whatever, that's the first point in the game which really disappoints me. That is just bad testing there, and that shouldn't happen in any program.

It could very well be intentional. Think about it. It's the last race of the game and the time is extremely hard but not impossible. Sounds to me like they were giving us a challenge, something you could be proud of instead of all these other cheese dick times/scores that you have to beat.

cheese dick...too funny

I seriously doubt they meant this time, but could be wrong and there could be some major lines were missing. It just doesn't play with the other times even if it is the last race. And, I believe many, many selects will be necessary to beat it. Doubt they intended that, but again we may look back and laugh at everything we post later.

Man, after playing this race a few times, I finally realized that I need to quite screwing around and find the best lines, this is ridiculous. I think my best was 7:06. I am shame-faced.

I think it definately could have been a mistake to make the time that low but I think it would be cool as hell if they got the best time from the best player at EA working on OT (using selects and everything he could) and put that as the time to beat for platinum.
Then again, this is just my wishful thinking :heh

I think the ones who make that record certainly would deserve being called Black Diamond Rock Star. My best time now is 6:05, and that's without Select-Tricks, because I'm no good in finding them. Shame as it is, I'll have to wait for some of you pros to show me how to do it. :dead
