I was really impressed with his WK run too. Shaved 5 seconds off the last movie, good job RE. :yes

EDIT:

Okay Ice, I updated the Master Runs, thanks for waiting. For six months. :heh My bad. :D :cheers

Christmas presents for y'all! I should've posted these long ago, but better late than never, right?

These runs were done mid-Feb/early-March 2006:

BTS double/b2b - 3:15.00
http://download.yousendit.com/55C2969345060198

Compilation single - 1:14.15
http://download.yousendit.com/FFD4712A11475AC8

SOB single - 1:17.87
http://download.yousendit.com/F58F887B222CCF25

Higher Learning single/double - 1:05.18
http://download.yousendit.com/C6672C633F3DB162
(this one's not a WR but it would've been 1:04.9 if I had selected to the right of the tree instead of the left)

The other day when I was recording wormholes for the wormhole vid I hit these two (and rather easily!):

Roadkill single - 1:29.27
http://download.yousendit.com/B5399A6E738A824D

White Knuckles single - 0:57.91
http://download.yousendit.com/295CE9825BAB3428

I'll post a few more soon.

I have a few more runs I never released if I could find them on my computer lol. But very nice RE. I love the Gary Jules - Mad world trance remix :pimp

You were always good at finding that extra select trick that gains that extra time! :cheers

To nitpick a little.. the BTS was a pretty damn sketchy ;) And I still don't know why you would select to the left of the tree in the beginning of HL.. maybe that was a habit that was hard to break. But I would of restarted right there. If I were interested in this game haha there would be some improvement that could be made in a lot of the tracks. The Wk single looks damn near flawless though.

I would like to see igoo's HL :china

Awesome runs! I never knew about a bunch of those selects you did. =O
I especially liked the WK run, nice. 8)

Thanks for the comments.

The song's name is 'Familiar Faces - Mad World (Pulsedriver remix)' if you wanna download it.

No better than you!

Yeah, I was a full second slow on the BTS section, same with OTR. It usually happens that when I know I'm doing far from my best I do the rest of the run flawlessly. This always happened on Style Mile, I remember. It was soooo frustrating.

What do you think of that MTG select trick? A very obvious one that we overlooked.

And I still don't know why you would select to the left of the tree in the beginning of HL.. maybe that was a habit that was hard to break. But I would of restarted right there.

I didn't know at the time that it was better to select to the right side. I realized like a day later. I was pissed off at that, as I should've had 1:04.

The Wk single looks damn near flawless though.

I believe 0:57.5 or less should be possible. I think I messed up a little on the select at the end, as I had no idea when to select.

I would like to see igoo's HL :china

Me too. I wonder what little thing he found there.

Tue Dec 26, 2006 4:59 pm

:heh The same would happen to me.. either you hit the easy part of the track and nail the hard part or it's the opposite. Nailing a "perfect" run is soo frustrating but makes it so rewarding at the end. This is why I restart so much. One screw up in any way.. and it was a restart.

With the MTG.. that area I knew I wasn't finding the best route there. When you released your time for the MTG b2b or whatever it was.. that was the first thing that came to mind.. was you found a select there.

When I look through at my vids and some of yours.. I see mess ups and possible area to improve but I don't want to go back and try lol. It's like when you write a research paper and when you turn it in.. it seems perfect. But then you look at it months later and you see all your mistakes.

I appreciate you telling me the name to the 'mad world' song.. I was looking for it today but couldn't think of it's title.

last weekend, i played ssx on tour after a long time :heh

Higher Learning Clean 1.07.76
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgFXPE86cLw

my best record is 1.07.2x and i think 1.06.xx is possible :)
but when 06 comes is not understood...

Fri Mar 09, 2007 5:27 pm

Nice run NOB, but you should try using selects on HL. It makes it harder and more interesting. Try getting 1:04! I'm sure you can do it.

gondee, could you host my last vids, above? I was going to post 2 or 3 more, but that might still take some time, sorry. :heh

Also, I noticed my scores in the scoreboard were updated... today!
http://merqurycity.com/ssx_forum/scoreb ... b_track=76
I guess it's the 1-year limit thing? You can just verify all the scores except 1 or 2 that I haven't posted vids for. Could you also set the time a year back, if possible? Not that it matters much, but it can make people think there's still competition going...

Mon Mar 12, 2007 1:47 am

Yeah, I didn't want the scores to get deleted, I didn't even think about your videos as proof. I'll confirm the scores tomorrow.

I'm not gonna worry about the dates - maybe it will do exactly what you say and make people think competition is still going on. :heh

I'm a full year late (sorry), but here are the last runs I have:

Roadkill boxset single - 3:00.43

OTR double - 2:59.48

MTG b2b - 2:59.31

Last Call single - 1:03.27
http://download.yousendit.com/9B1825877929D4AC

Can you upload these along with the previous ones, gondee? Thanks.

Thu Mar 15, 2007 10:09 pm

Thanks for the links RE - give me a few days to upload them, I'm right in the middle of finals week and there's no way I'll have time before next week.

Unfortunately, I missed the last set (you should PM me when you have something you want me to download and upload onto the site) and the links expired. I don't always scour the board to see what someone might want me to do. :)

lol, simply good. I tried to make some good times myself, but I was shitty.

I think I keep playing SSX3!

Sat Mar 17, 2007 7:13 am

Oh, I thought you downloaded all the vids we post. I guess On Tour is that bad. I'll PM you the links.

Realize OT is yesteryear...these are some badass runs RE. :china

Sun Apr 15, 2007 12:52 pm

I managed a 11:00:81 at the big race, is that good?

(Will anyone notice??)

Sun Apr 15, 2007 4:19 pm

I have. But I cant remember my time for it. I think that your time must be pretty good though seeing as you have to do six tracks to do it.

Wait so are these uploaded anwhere?

Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:29 am

They should be in the master runs page for SOT; they are just not updated in the first page of this topic.

Tue Jul 10, 2007 10:21 am

Nice runs. :) Moonlight Shadow is a good song. :P

Also it has Roadkill Single 2 times there. :O

I love that song. That one is the Japanese trance version. :heh

Thu Jul 12, 2007 12:52 pm

I only have the verson from groove coverage.

My scores:

big race: 10:45,25

Mtg double slopestyle: 3.590.870

B&E double race: 3:12,73

Wild tree fun: 3:39,96

Half banked double race: 1:31,68

half banked 45 race: 5:38,10

Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:57 pm

Did you just get the game recently? You have some better times than me in SSX3, so keep playing this one until you beat my times. Are you up for the challenge?

Thu Jul 12, 2007 2:18 pm

I don't know if I'm better in slopestyle or racing, I think I have to try a little bit.

Are my ot scores good??

I don't have much time to play,

but I'll spend every free minute with ssx!

Even if I smash another controller!!!

Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:14 am

There was never any serious competition in freestyle, so stick to racing! Your times so far are much better than average obviously, but still 10+ sec away from me, Ice, and igloo.

Fri Jul 13, 2007 11:19 am

I kind of got discouraged when Royank got every single freestyle record :heh. It would've helped to have more individual track events as well :(
