That wired180 makes me feel like I don't wanna compete anymore. Oh to achieve sponsors just get record scores on medal events.

I haven't read it yet, but I assume everybody knows that tapping is faster again like in SSX 3?

I dont think the combo trick is cheating. As long as there are no more glitches that allow you to get max points every jump, i think the game will be on a level playing field. Not only does building a combo take some time (i guess not much in this) but you have to keep your combo, and fill it with high point tricks to get the crazy scores.

I didnt try to get records in 3 cause of the cheating, hopefully no more glitches will be found and I can resume my record setting ways.

I agree..the combo sucks. However, it's so easy this round and much quicker that it shouldn't really change comp. Just a nuisance really, but I don't know how the combo works yet. I hope it maxes out like SSX3 at 30x.

During a long style run, you can let the combo run out to grab the points in a dead area, then build it again in like 3-4 seconds. I just want a level playing field for everyone. Hell, I'm all about racing the first couple months as the courses are insane. I didn't want to kill anyone's enthusiasm, but this is no different than SSX3. Only easier.

I'm not sayin its cheating i'm just sayin its really cheap to get a combo going.

It's pretty par for the course, actually. The 180 trick's been around since the first one, and I expected something like this to be found. If it sours you on setting records then you should hold on tight cuz I'm sure there's more stuff like this to be found. :yes It happens in every SSX.

well i am retarted and cant seem to do it the way that igloo does.lol, but i tried the way moose described and i can get it to 30x in about 4 seconds on a flat spot, i found it really hard on a hill, but doable, and i did notice an immediate iprovement in my scores!!

im mjust glad its lil faster this time around, if its gunna be in the game at least ucan get it out of the way in the beginning of the run(hopefully, assuming its not hella steep, cause then its really hard). anyways thanx igloo and moose for the tips!! :china

This is why I cant compete in freestyle. I dont bother to learn or use some of tricks you can to get your combo up. Its not a moral issue, Im just freakin lazy.

Ah, Im doing between 3-4 million per run now, with no combo glitch, and Im not even keeping the combo the whole time.

I was cashing it in every 4-500k, casue even though I have Merc board and stability attribute, this guy still LOOOOVES to trip and fall.

I guess when I get more into it, ill really blow it up.

As for there being scoring cheats in every SSX, well, I held a WR in Tricky and 1, and I never used a glitch or cheat.

SSX3 it was necessary. Shame.

Hopefully in this, we will be able to get back to blowing it up the traditional way.

Point of discussion, you guys getting more points doing Double Monsters or One monster then holding.

At the very least right now Ill pull a monster, then Hold a single. If the jump is high enough, ill do 2 monsters.

LOL, on Hot damn, I got 4 MOnsters, and held the last one. It was like 70k points. Big Big trick.

The scores are waaaay out of double you regular score, that makes me think that the bonus no longer stops at double your trick total.

Can someone test that to see? Like use igloo's speedy-180 trick to get 50x and then do a single trip off a jump and see what percentage of your trick goes into the combo bonus.

I tried it with 50x and did a simple level one monster and it added exactly double the point total to the combo bonus. Same deal with basic flip/spin.

1.71 on 45' Slopestyle

The Comp I crashed two 1.1 Million combos.. Ended with a somewhat decent 2.2 Million...

Thank you sir. It is same sitch as SSX 3 I suppose then. :china

Did you guys also notice that pushing select in a race shoots the competitors ahead about 100 meters automatically, regardless of whether you're in front or behind them? So I think that's a reasonable penalty to using a select shortcut. :yes

Didn't notice that, but I don't think it hurts your time so really doesn't do much in regards to records here.

I guess that's why they don't have online. You'd only need a mate to press select a couple of dozen times and you'd be finished.

Someone might want to test this in two player mode to see if it works. Even if it only works once, it sounds like you could cut the last 100m to the finish.

Do you still get your boost filled for a knockdown? Might also be a cheap way to help maintain full boost by just setting someone up for a fall.
